This is how the government and the establishment can shut down the argument. Only let the opposition to the mainstream narrative come out in dribs and drabs and have the messenger be the "headbangers". For example, "only an old conservative crank like Peter Hitchens would question the lockdown!" "Only a nutter like George Galloway would oppose the Iraq War!" "Only the idiots at Fox News would question the coronavirus stats!" Normies don't examine the substance. It's easier to shoot messenger.
