Don't let any lying scumbag tell you "Coronavirus caused a famine in Africa". Since when did Coronavirus kill crops??? LOCKDOWN (& the ensuing economic downturn) will cause famine in Africa. COVID-19 will do no such thing. And the same goes for the sport of boxing. It will be decimated by lockdown and the absurd "social distancing" measures which will remain once its lifted. Most fighters rely on ticket sales to get paid, only a tiny minority can rely on PPV. With "behind closed doors" events, and social distancing affecting the number of people who can attend fights- where is the money going to come from??? Gyms (both amateur & pro) will be massively affected, as they've been forced to shut, and many will never reopen. Government spending cuts (to pay for the economic relief) will mean far less money allocated to amateur boxing.

And yet you've got all these idiotic people- including many prominent fighters -repeating the "Stay home" mantra. Supporting lockdown, basically. Again, it's turkey's voting for Christmas. The shortsightedness of most human beings is absolutely staggering.
