The Distant Spring | Pikmin (Patreon)

I'll start right off by saying thank you from the depths of my soul for your patience during this project. It's not lost on me that this video took longer to put together than KH1 Endgame video of nearly triple the runtime. But now that the biggest level is complete, I finally feel I can be honest with myself, and confront the main reason for the difficulties I've had getting these videos done in a timely manner. In spite of my expectations, I've found that choosing Pikmin as the subject of Game Break Down may have been biting off more than I was prepared to chew. The fact is, of the games I've covered so far, this has been by FAR the one with which I was least familiar when heading into it, and I've been making up the lost ground as I go, so to speak. I anticipated, seeing as it's such a small game, that it it would be a fairly easy project in spite of that.

I was mistaken, and as a result, I have found Pikmin far more demanding a subject than those that have come before. Without as comprehensive of a knowledge base to build on as I'm used to, the time I spend researching and testing seems to grow exponentially. Make no mistake, I have loved every moment of my time with these silly little guys, and am continuing to love learning more and more about them. The final level is all that remains, and I am extremely excited both to jump right back in, and to wrap up this project in a bow. Once again, thank you all for bearing with me, I dare not say I hope these videos have been worth the extra wait, but I do hope you've found them to be as enjoyable as I have.
