My Stand-In - Episode 12

Great acting ! Great chemistry ! Great cinematography ! Good storytelling ! #MyStandin is a very good show, with a somewhat boring dare, I say a bit of a lackluster finale (for me) 🤷🏿‍♀️. Would still recommend with a ⚠️ ⚠️!!

I enjoyed this episode! I loved everything about it, except that Tong should’ve been punished for his actions and his behavior! I’m glad that Joe and Ming finally got accepted by Ming’s father, with a few conditions but it was nice seeing them happy! I love the ending of Joe/Ming starting over. Good for them!🫶🫶

I loved this series. I was right there with you, Tita. I’m not here for the Tong redemption. 👎🏽 Overall, great show!

And ... Tita is back. Yay! The family lunch was surreal after all the preceding behavior. I did not appreciate Joe and Tong being treated on the same level by the father, and Tong being awarded a get out of jail free card just because he managed to impregnate May. An interesting thing we saw in the final episodes is how every aspect of Ming's character -- his glamour, his entitled ass, his short temper, his propensity for violence, his passion -- was received from those parents. Also Mike and the secretary, how to feel about that? Is it really cute, or an HR nightmare? Yes. Was this the best BL of 2024? No, for me, the one and only Unknown owns that title. But I really enjoyed the originality of this show. The humor and Up's visuals, just wow.

The toxic relationship between Joe and Ming was really horrible and it’s wasn’t fun seeing them be together at all. In my eyes both Ming and Tong are garbage and I couldn’t forgive them at all but I also have to blame Joe because he could’ve stay away from Ming but he didn’t want to. Instead he sign Ming slave contract and after that his life continued to go downhill because he is stupidly in love with Ming 🤦🏽‍♀️. I feel like he could’ve ask his two best friends Mut and Sol for help but he didn’t want to, because he still wanted to choose that toxic love that he had with Ming🤦🏽‍♀️. I do understand sometime when it’s your first love it’s can be hard to let go but in the end of the day you have to put yourself first and realize you deserve way better. Also again if it wasn’t for both Ming and Tong Joe would’ve never die in the first place. That’s also why I don’t understand how Joe could still want to be with Ming 🙄. I really need these writers to stop normalizing these kind of abusive and toxic relationships in their shows. Writing the victim getting back with the person who abused or is toxic towards them is so disgusting, and it’s not healthy at all to show these type of love. If I knew this show was going to have such a toxic relationship I wouldn’t have look at it in the first place😑. I really did use to like this series up to episode 6. I did continue to watch it after episode 6 because I thought the writers was going to write Joe find out what happened to him. But when I realize that wasn’t going to happen that’s when i drop it after episode 10 because it’s wasn’t enjoyable anymore and also became too draining for me 😔. But this is just how I feel it’s ok if anyone else feels differently about this show 😁. But I would say that the plot was good except for the toxic relationship and the actors and the actresses did a phenomenal job. I hope Up and Poom get another series together 🩷

An excellent Bl production! An outstanding performance by all actors. I figured Joe and Ming would end up together. Team Ming / Joe win. Throughout out the series Joe could have avoided Ming but he fell in love with him regardless of Ming's early on obsession with Tong. Still seems odd to fell in love with someone's back. The Master was correct, no longer would Joe be just a stand-in if he came back. I know some see this relationship between Joe and Ming as toxic and I did also in the beginning. My point though is we need more BLs like this with a mystical or adult theme and less syrupy series such as high school dramas which, although not toxic, are unrealistic. Oh well. Tita, you arrived in Tokyo just as one of my grandsons left Tokyo. Hope you are enjoying the scenery. Next time book yourself into the Imperial Palace. I hear the Emperor has great Wi-Fi!

We're at the end. This series kept us on our toes with twists and turns. Tong had no repercussions because of the baby.....🤬 Something should've happened to him! I'm glad Joe got to make his own choice and Ming's Mom apologized to Joe's Mom. Not ok with Dad's threat then all smiles at a family lunch🤔🥴. Another thing I noticed... everyone was trying to hide Ming being gay from his Father but he already knew when Ming's assistant brought him to the house after Joe#1 died. Ming was so distraught he didn't even realize his father was there. They need a spinoff with Mike and the assistant. That would be cute. It was a great show 😁!!

I'm so glad and happy that " My Stand In " and " UpPoom " are already won some awards in Thailand. It may not be a perfect series but I gave this one 9/10 cuz of interesting storyline and amazing performances.

😡🎉 This whole episode should be called * the house of bitches and bastards* wow. Ok. I am still in my bunker. . 1. So instead of resting he chose to return to his abuser. 2. Not just a little verbal abuse. Let’s add some physical trauma, manipulation and kidnapping. But it’s all love right. 3. I nearly lost it when Joe’s sweet mama apologized to that complete bitch who said and did terrible things to her son and protected a conman over her own son. But she ‘s adorable now…it’s all love right. 4. Tong gets away with abuse, thievery and manipulation. … but it’s all love right. 5. I still can’t believe Joe lost his body because of these people. That flashback was supposed to make me see how Ming has grown. I was hot watching that cremation again. ❤️❤️❤️ right . The father really considered destroying Joe*s second body before lunch. But Tong needs to eat well because of his grandchild.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ So much love going around. 💕💕💕💕 These actors did an awesome job!!! I will never watch this abusive relationship again because they did such a great job.💕💕💕💕💕

I agree. This was toxic as all get out. But it was wonderfully written and done so well. This was an awesome cast. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 I can use scenes from this to help abuse victims.

Kadyra Reddick

I completely agree. My tiny rant is above. The characters actually didn’t grow. Ming represents an abuser who is so sweet when he gets his way. He still tells Joe…that he can’t stop him.

Mings brother is not a nice person. But at least the secretary wants to be his submissive bottom with open eyes.

WOW! Talk about tying up every loose end😵‍💫……This wasn’t the best show and not the worst show and it was nice to have a different storyline though “the two Joes’” appearances are still offsetting for me. And, I could never get into Ming to make me want to root for them as a couple. The “bad Ming” and the “good Ming” were just too extreme for the transition to be believable. I would rather see Poom with another partner. And, I’d rather see the younger brother and the secretary in something as RDJ mentioned above. I don’t agree that the brother wasn’t a nice person. It just took awhile.

Such a good show will miss them. Wonderful life changes that benefited him. Ming father said don’t make my son sad again..excuse me! Your son and son in law put him in that position that caused Ming to be sad….the ending we all looked for the achoo to end the story perfectly!!! We all laughed at that part.

Monica

I'll miss Joe! I thought for a moment that when Joe woke up this time he would be like F You and F You and F you to everyone and put them all in their place as he walked his New Path. But overall, I am glad Joe stayed true to his unconditional loving self and gave everyone additional chances to get in line (although some chose to do so after having him at gunpoint?!?!). Anyway I'm 100% team Joe and enjoyed watching all the reactions and reading all the reactions here. Much Love!

Heliotrope07

The brother was a manipulative power player, which was nearly inevitable given the parents. I mean, the way he repeatedly summoned Joe by pretending to be Ming. However, we never saw him do anything intentionally cruel. And, not for nothing, he's really easy on the eyes.

Cindy Bowser

Was there any character in this show who didn’t have a transformation at the end….except for Joe’s mother?

Sevyn🌷

Yay it’s over 🤍
