Maya finally gets her talking-to by Kohei… and like always with Kohei, in a kind, gentle way. It’s better than she deserves, and she may know that. In fact, Kohei’s calm resolve in his response may finally get through to her that she cannot win through her methods. Sai, meanwhile sees something in Taichi that Chiba lacks and he’s pretty certain that with some reassurances, Taichi will get through Chiba’s baptism of fire, and that Chiba might even learn to calm down a bit and trust others. Sai for sure sees in Taichi the idealism that Sai had to have to start the company in the first place, but which might have waned since, and he wants to feel that again. Grandpa, in the meantime, has some advice for Taichi to weigh, to add to Taichi’s feelings of love for Kohei, which he’s hiding even from Kohei himself. The scene with Grandpa was film quality. Yuki Fumino, the author of the manga, must be thrilled to bits by this adaptation!

Maya ugh 😑 anyways. I'll be crying with you next episode 😢 . Such a hard position and I understand both Taichi and Kohei I just think both were trying hard to express themselves but both misunderstood. I think Kohei felt like he was holding Taichi back and maybe Taichi felt like he wanted to feel like Kohei would miss him since Taichi had been struggling with leaving and Kohei is like yeah go. He didn't mean it 😔 in a bad way though, he was just being supportive even though he really will miss him.

This episode made me cry in flashbacks of remembering certain scenes. Can someone righteously slap Maya? Both of them being HOH doesn’t mean she can dictate how Kohei lives his life. I may skip next week and binge the rest. The heartbreak of next week …I don’t want to see.

I will refrain from commenting much about that meddlesome and maleficent Maya.....this time. However, I must add that the inability of Kohei and Taichi to effectively communicate their feelings resonates with me because too many men I've encountered fear their vulnerability, thereby losing or deferring the loving relationships they desire and deserve. We're as dumb as a box of rocks, at times...(grin).
