This was a great series. I thought they went of track but they brought it back around. Kohei suggested "friends" because Taichi still hadn't shared his feelings. I'm glad Kohei just threw caution to the wind and restated his feelings.

Very sweet ending to the series… but I wish, despite the declaration of affection, that it hadn’t been as platonic as portrayed. They could have taken one more step… …but I’m hoping, as I’ve said before, that there will be another series, and maybe they’re saving that for it? There’s plenty more material in books 3 to 5 that can be mined (including a great back-story to Chiba from the office, who becomes more and more important) plus there are another two volumes I haven’t read yet, and two more on the way (and who knows how far past nine volumes it might someday go). In any case, they did such a good job with this adaptation that I’d love to see it morph from bromance into BL next year. Please please please please please!!!!! In the meantime I’m looking forward to seeing my other latest manga-read come to anime life in Twilight Out Of Focus, and am glad you’re getting back into reacting to it Josie! Cheers!
