This series was ambitious, well acted and well written. However, it left me confused (with the time jumps in the final episode) and ultimately very sad. I understood why, tragically, things didn't work out with Mr Kim but I really hoped there would be at least the possibility of a happy ending with the sweet man from Jeju Island.

Still thinking about this series even I watched it 2 days ago....in next 10 years...this series will be a Culture classic and a Masterpiece.

I really enjoyed this entire series: the cinematography, dialogue, and characters. This is definitely one of the best(If not the best) BL shows to come out of South Korea. It was spectacular how it was executed, the conflicts and timelines. it gave memoir at times, and novel when our main character was talking in third, or even in this last episode when the only other narrator we've had throughout the entire show was, William Hibbi (he was fine asl), a married man with a daughter. Superb acting, I was engrossed in each character and no one fell flat. Outstanding work.

While others may not think so, I feel he did have a happy ending. He has great friends and now knows so much more about what he wants when he loves and is loved. And, I think the interchange with the bartender and Young in ep 7 indicates he might still hear from Gu Hyu. That being said, this is just a PHOENOMAL series in every way possible. I can definitely understand how Nam Yoon Su was nominated for the Best New Actor at the 57th Baeksang Arts Awards. If he loses roles because of playing in a BL, it’s their loss.

i realy liked this show, it was very different and more mature then korean bls usually are. the acting, story was amazing and it was good having long episodes. more korean bls should be like this. now im kinda sad with the ending, i couldnt even enjoy the flashbackes. like dont get me wrong, the episode was great and meaninful, and i loved the ending with his friends. but i wanted to see him reunite with go hyu. it all felt bittersweet and a little to sad for my taste. i want to see them back together and talk it out. normally i would love a season 2 for it to see that, but i kinda dont think thats going to happen lol, i just feels a little unfinished for me, not to see them reunite, since they are clearly meant to be the endgame.
