Whiplash! Where did that homophobic jealous tantrum in the forest come from? How could Qin Xiao be jealous of bumbling Turtle when he knows that Turtle is in love with pigtail girl and Qi Lu is in love with him? And how could QX threaten to beat QL given what he knows? Someone on YouTube renamed this Red Canvas of Toxic Days which is appropriate to this scene. It made me ambivalent about their getting together later although that scene with the fireworks and the painting was beautiful on its own.

The emotional shifts in ep7 happened a little too fast from my brain to process, but they seem happy, good for them. Whenever they're having their happy moments, I keep holding my breath, waiting for the other shoes to drop with the dad. All of teacher Liu actions and reactions to XiaoTan makes prefect sense now!! Teacher Liu would do with some serious therapy!
