Jack & Joker - Episode 12

OK the finale. First, I don't get why Rose and her father were calling the Boss, Boss, when they know his name.......they have called him by name before so it just seems a bit silly to have them call him by title. Also that game. I knew the Boss would have something up his sleeve, and Jack didn't think the way the Boss did......so the whole swap thing would take him by surprise.....but the Boss seemed to forget who he was going up against with Joker. You want to play silly buggers, don't do it with Joker......he's the master of the game........I mean Zorry......that was hilarious. The whole ricochet of the bullet into Tattoo's backside though..........that was a little too much, even for me,,,,,,,,,,a little too cartoonish. BTW, I know Carbon is supposed to be a good fighter.......but when the hell did he turn into some type of super villian.........they seemed to take his fighting abilities a little too far in this ep, but it did make the fight between Jack and Joker a good one.........especially when the two teamed up. I loved that Jack and Joker were kissing all the way through the Boss looking very confused as to why the bomb didn't go off, that was quite funny. The idea that the Boss's method of getting back at the horsemen for killing his parents and making him an orphan is to make even more orphans is just so screwed up. Not that the Horsemen are any better. Well Jack and Joker didn't get to kill Carbon and the Boss, which was a disappointment..........but in a way what happened to the Boss was worse, making him so depressed he tried to kill himself........I hope he lives a long and miserable life.......and Carbon will not be happy in prison lol I loved the little family bit, where Toi Ting was healthy and the three of them were on stage together.....and Toi Ting even got the cape Joke had made for her in the last ep..........sooo cute. I'm glad Joker reconciled with his family....but this being the finale, I wish they had taken the opportunity for the family to acknowledge Jack as Jokers partner.........and that the episode had spent more time on Jack and Joker as a couple.........rather than just a few mins at the end. As lovely as it was with the rings, it felt a little tacked on to me. A nice ending, but I hope they make a special which focuses a little more on Jack and Jokers relationship.

Rose was a mood this episode! From her Hangman secret word, to telling off both Alice and her dad, to cheering for Jack and Joke, she was all in. There were some wobbly moments in this series, ngl, but the chemistry of J+J and the sulky glam of Arun kept me entertained. Also, this series had a record number of bad ass female characters for a BL - I counted five (Rose, Nang, Jack's grannie, Toi Ting, and -- briefly -- the spirit of Arun's mom). I would like to think that Yin and War had something to do with that.

I was flinching in the beginning. It took me forever to sit and watch it because of all the pain in the other episodes. 💕💕💕💕💕 So glad to see the ending of this love story.
