The bad: I somewhat tolerate Babe's intrusions because Rak is her baby brother. However, I can do without Joy's incessant meddling along with the vengeful plans of Oh's mother. Must BLs regularly make women petty and villains? When Oh's mother eventually bothers Fah, Rak or his friends must file a complaint against Oh for lying to Rak about giving him (presumably, a minor) alcohol. The good: Rak and Fah's fake, yet burgeoning, love affair is chef's kiss delicious!

Rak and Fah are cute. They are pretty romantic when it's just them being themselves and not trying to be "fake boyfriends". We see where Oh gets his terrible behavior.

By far the worst thing about the BL genre is the nearly ubiquitous vilifying of female characters. From obstacle girls to meddling moms, every script would be better off without them.
