This was always a BL with the nature of the attraction between the leads never in doubt by either of them or the audience. And yes, I did yell "thank you!" at the screen when they finally kissed. However, the delight was short lived. This is an extremely rare BL in which the social message far outweighs the couple narrative. Their connection, and their individually wonderful characters, were written in service of raising difficult questions. In that respect, it was very well done. Hyachinths all around.

This scene!!!! The acting!!! The conversation!!! The moral debate!!! Not everything that is illegal is in- moral!! Not everything that legal is moral!! Should morality influence law making? If so, whose moral compass should be followed when making laws.

This was a very moving series. I feel for both Tew and Kan. In the United States, nine states and District of Columbia permit euthanasia. My state of Illinois may follow. It's the damn monotheistic religions that are to blame. And yet here, we are perplexed by the high suicide rate. Damn hypocrites! As for the story, Kan could deny his confession to Tew. Boss had already confessed. When I served on a jury, the Judge reminded us a policeman's word carried no more weight then any other person. You need evidence and Tew is lacking it.

Facts about the hypocrisy & suicide rates. About the confession i thought about that too. But love makes you do crazy things. So he probably wouldn't have.

KR! KR! I have huge respect for both lead actors and the writers. The actors aren't chasing BL for clout and may never return to it again, but they fully committed to a great project. Even though my heart is in pieces I don't regret it. I am sure this is the end of the series but I can imagine a season 2, in which this plays out with the detective continuing to uphold the law but also testifying in court as the son of his mother, expressing his appreciation for the doctor.
