A fresh and interesting pair. I could do without the squeaky toy sound effects and other hyper infantilizing of Gun ("you can't pull off a male lead," when of course Santa has) but I still like the PerthSanta chemistry. I liked the little bit of sass we got from Gun when he slow clapped and said "good answer" to some deflection of Yotha. Perth is exploring quiet intensity and when he grows into it, it'll be powerful. Also love his cute side, like when he koala bear rode Boom as a guarding tactic in starlympics.

The salvation for this episode is the actor Perth (Yotha). He, for some hidden reason known only to the script writers and director, gets to portray a college student who acts his age in this juvenile, university series. He is the only non-toxic, non-simpleton acting character. The only reason I continue to watch this series is to tear it apart. It must be the money that made most of these actors take these inane roles.

I’m really liking this second couple. I love the gradual melting of Yotha’s hard heart with Gun’s innocence, vulnerability and kindness. This kind of story is more moving and I’m already looking forward to more. I love Yotha’s nonchalant kindnesses and how he clearly has a crush on Gun already.
