It was not perfect, but I enjoyed a good bit of it. A significant flaw, the writers wove traumas into the narrative for effect and then healed them rather casually. Doing so is lazy and a slight to people who labor to overcome the same IRL. Unexpectedly, Arm and Arc’s romance was lackluster. However, I'm glad Arc eased his problematic dominance over Arm. Although I like Force/Book, they have given subtle bromance vibes since their roles in Only Friends. Their BL ship is taking on water. Gun and Yotha’s relationship was melodramatic and interesting until Gun forgave Yotha’s ambivalence too easily and too quickly. Once they reconciled, Yotha’s intimate moments with Gun often felt performative because his fawning behavior was so amplified. Conversely, Gun's child-like demeanor deceptively hid that he was far more grounded than Yotha. Btw, Santa’s (dramatic) performance was outstanding. Thank goodness for Wine and Faifa’s sincere, healthy, and romantic relationship. I was so enamored of their love story. Although Junior’s acting was over the top, he deftly captured Faifa’s lively, yet sad personality. His hilarious quips, intent gazes, charisma, and heartfelt expressions of love for Wine rarely felt hackneyed. BIF, the heart to heart convo between Yotha and Faifa was a nice touch. Similarly, the romantic pairings of Wa/Klao and Sand/Pond enhanced the storyline. When I can commit to another “six-month binge,” I will watch this series again.
