Why are we going back in time and things are getting worse. What is the point?

The negative of this series , for me, is it is too dragged out. Was adding the side story about Chai necessary? Having said that, this episode, and, I assume the two to follow, will be interesting. Win went back in time to do exactly what - save Nut's life or to establish a romantic relationship before his death or both? Win and Nut have "hit it" off. Yet, if it follows that Nut's life ends anyway, won't this make it more difficult for Win to continue living? Was Win's journey back just a selfish act? He knew the initial outcome. Could he somehow have gotten Nut to get the x-ray earlier, and get surgery, and forget the band competition? However, as we saw in that great series, "7 Days Before Valentines", changing the future is very dangerous. It has unexpected consequences.

I think He went back to help Nut fulfill his wishes, that he had written in the notebook. Not necessarily to save his life. Which is why he has the check list.
