Hua Young and Shengs "romance" give me flashbacks to school: this guy always threatened to harm himself anytime his girlfriend wanted to breakup with him and she ofcourse stayed because she did not want him to harm himself. This "love" aint for everybody but I guess Sheng likes it, so whatever. I feel like the quality of the series has dropped by at least 40%: too much "cute" filler stuff and not enough story. I did not read the novel - and never will honestly- so I do not know if this is true to the story at this point or just a choice by production. I do not mind the narator as much but it seems lazy, I would rather see the characters acting out these emotions/situations than be told that they feel a curtain way. At least here it lacks authenticity in the storytelling. Maybe they did not have the time or freedom to give a more wellrounded performance ( who knows what crazyness the teams has had to endure from the fanatics in china). Still, this episode was better than the last one.

On the topic of the narrator, I stand corrected, and the color commentary of the subtitles (ie, "now Gao Tu is broke and Shen is obscenely rich") is still the highpoint of the ep for me.
