Bad Buddy - Episode 1.mp4

Tita! Hey there you, hey there Ohm and Nanon (I’m sure they read this, right?! 🤪) …so Bad Buddy was the first Thai anything (tv-wise) that I ever saw, and it took me a loooooong time to get into the series, but I persisted and I remember thinking that as of episode 7, I was okay with it, actually annoying it by then. Since that time, about a decade has passed (well, feels like it Thai tv-wise) and I have seen so much more, and am far better acquainted with Thai culture (including having my first Massaman Curry last week, yowza that was good, where have you been all my life Baby?! (Baby said the way that Gavreel says it to Cairo in Gameboys, I know, not Thai)) and with Our Skyy 2 getting ready to roll, I thought it was time to revisit Bad Buddy, seeing it with far more educated eyes, and just so that I wander into Our Skyy 2 without having forgotten scads of it. So I just went through it all in 3 nights, and I did enjoy it more, and got far more out of it… and my next thought was, what are Josie’s reactions like?! So I’m here, hi! Notes about this episode in the reply to this comment.

Architects vs Engineers, hmm. As someone who reports on/edits others’ writing about Toronto’s development industry for a living, Architects vs Engineers is my life, but add in vs Planners vs City Councillors vs Residents Associations. IRL, they don’t tend to meet in back alleys to deal with their differences, even at university level, but despite how closely they work together, yes, there is rivalry to an extent between the two professions, each tending to feel their part in creating structures is undervalued by their opposites and compromised by them. Building is a team sport however, so the players end up having to get along! The episode is a fun intro to the major players, but more violent than I expected or thought was believable first time I saw it, and is a major part of why it took me so long to get into it then. Now that I’m inured to it though, I’ve been able to soak up all the other goodness far more easily, and yup, even recognized P’Aof without having had a clue he’d be our pharmacist. Anyway, it’s way past my bedtime. Catch you later!

Also, I totally get the hormonal rush that Ohm gives you Josie, and hafta say “well done!” if Tito Josie resembles him to that degree. Congrats! Anyway, the OhmNanon pairing is obviously a great one, and yup, it’s not just their attractiveness, but also their acting skills. And then there’s Dr. Jimmy’s eyes… so beguiling!

I'm glad you enjoyed re-watching the series! I might have to do a re-watch at some point before their episodes, but I have no clue when to fit that in lol. 🥰💖
