I know this is going to sound like a really strange realization at the heart of it all, but I think I even found a small reason for the fact that he drinks so much Ginger Ale around his group of friends. Its a small thing for sure but it kind of hit me watching him drink it. I think he may drink it because of the way its supposed to settle your stomach and when he's around these "friends" hes extremely stressed and the nerves may be effecting his stomach. It might also be way he felt he could just drink water with (i can't spell his name but you know who i mean lol) He may feel somewhat comfortable with him. Its just a thought, but it might have some merit.
