Hey Tita, I just wanted to apologize for what turned out to be an overreach in my comments on Sky In My Heart episode 8 re: Pattaya. I had assumed, because of the Hua Hin comment in the teaser for the special episode that we’d be going back to the same resort where they had filmed before - - - and that time they’d gone to Pattaya to shoot that. It made me wonder why Pattaya was playing Hua Hin back then. Is Pattaya not as cool a spot to own in?! It’s got more cachet overseas as far as I know (I’m halfway around the world and I’ve heard of Pattaya but hadn’t heard of Hua Hin) so why not just say Kluen’s family resort was in Pattaya?! Anyway, it turned out of course that we were surprised by this new resort in a more exotic (and secret) location… and I’m a guy who likes to know where stuff is (I worked for years as a cartographer, so the world was my work ‘playground”) so I’m curious about all of the location hijinks! More though, I just wanted to see Kluen’s mom again, she should have been there to give her blessing to the couple!

Pattaya has a messy reputation. It's kinda like a red light district by the beach, or at least that's what I thought of it when I lived in Bangkok, lol. The beach isn't that great but people from Bangkok do go there sometimes for the weekend because it's like 3-4 hours away by car. Hua Hin is also 3-4 hours away, but it has a decidedly more laid-back reputation. 🌊🥰💖

Ah, thanks for all that info on Pattaya Josie! That makes sense then. There’s a temple I’d still like to see at Pattaya some day, but I’ll skip the red-light aspects! Not sure I’d plan on Hua Hin on a visit though… a certain sunset at Phuket is calling me instead!!!
