I don't think the issue with the the Dad was resolved too quickly. Afterall, Dad beat and tortured Xun An for weeks. It was really brutal, too. I think that Dad decided that if his son was that resolute and sure of his love for Bai Lang, he would have to give in. But, of course, Dad being Dad couldn't just give in nicely, he had to torture them a bit longer. So for me, it was a long, hard fought battle but Xun An was the victorious. Lovely story!

Maybe if the dad was given more screentime it would have felt less rushed for me, but yes, overall I enjoyed this series. 🦷🥰💖
