I find that as the series progrosses it takles more and more complex issues, but I'm not sure how I feel about the way they're going about that. For one there are legitimate problems about livelihood and safety that polyamorous relationships have to go through. They run the risk of losing their jobs, being abandoned by friends and family that relagate their relationship to some sort of unacceptable sexual pervasion. People also feel very confident that monogamy is a gift from God and anything straying from that is evil. Second, although it's true that Shuheii acted ignorant in a bid to magically summon a throuple with the two people he has feelings for, he wasn't untruthful to his other partners. He kept running into people who lied about their comfort with polyamory and then became resentful of him down the line. Or people like Mio that we met in this episode, that treated him like a freak of nature and preached to him about normalcy. As if a bisexual has any opportunity to fit into some patriarchal idea of strict heteronormative monogamous love. The problem here is that it's unclear to me, what the ethos of the show is. Is Shuhei a weird bisexual freak who just isn't able to handle monogamy, some sort of serial cheater? Is Misaki like a confused woman, who will find read love in Daiichi? Was Yuuki a closeted gay all along... idk it feels like this is where this series is headed which would be disappointing. This doesn't have to be a wonderful depiction of ethical non-monogamy, this could just be about these specific characters navigating this specific relationship... but still... idk

Yes to all of that. If anything, the show was thought-provoking and I did enjoy watching it, even if I found the characters' choices a bit surprising hehe. 👀😬😅
