Our Dining Table - Episode 6

Comments

I think OurDiningTableEP6 is my favorite so far. Ngl I 😢 a little. Minoru talking about his mom to Yutaka. Minoru taking care of Yutaka Tane's little worried face. Hearing Yukata is sick & thinking it means he might never see him again (because of what happened with mom)🥺. On a different note: So like what's the deal with Yutaka's parents🤔? Were they truly oblivious to how Yutaka was being treated by his "brother"? Did they just not care? Did they not see the neglect? Why DID they adopt him? I have so many questions ?

WOW Tita what a moving episode, you and I are cry babies for sure...LOL

I could barely hold tears... like I needed to look away from the screen. I do not even want to try to fight emotions with this story.

This episode had me tearing. This series is so good, it shows how simple kindness can change someone’s life. It all started with Tane wanting to eat the grenade (Onigiri) and Yukata being gracious and giving it to him when that was his lunch. Later Yukata being nice and willing to teach Tane and Minoru how to make them because Tane liked them so much. Based on Yukata’s flashbacks it would have been easy for him to be unkind and not just have the issue of eating with others, but he is such a sweet person and that shows every time Tane runs to him calling his name. Also, I feel like Minoru does not think he is sacrificing for Tane he is just trying to make sure Tane feels loved and is well taken care of, but I believe that has caused him to put his needs aside. Their interactions are helping them both realize they can have something more. Yukata can have the family and love he deserves, and Minoru can have love and someone by his side that understands how important family is. * Tane really is the MVP of this series* Side rant: why would people adopt a child only to ignore them. Their demeanor was like I am giving you food (barely, he could not eat with them), clothing and shelter you need nothing more (WHAT!!!). Obviously, based on the flashbacks they had no problem interacting with their child and if they were only concerned with his feelings (which he had no problem expressing) they never should have adopted Yukata. The Christmas flashback broke my heart, and they have the nerve to wonder why he does not want to interact or visit them. I can’t, the brother’s gaslighting and the adoptive Thiparents’ delusion.

Is it me, or I just don't see romance between the two lead characters? I just think Yutaka is too damaged at the moment. He needs therapy and to learn to love himself first. Sure loving and being part of Minoru's brother’s life is helping but it's just not enough. Why was he adopted anyway? To get rid of some rich person's guilt or something

Honestly seeing how they traumatized him, it might have been better for him not to have been adopted by them. 👀😬

I loved that they opened up to each other. And I wanted to hug Tane and comfort him! 😭💔

Yeah the adoption seems just like that, a way for his adoptive parents to feel good about themselves rather than because they genuinely wanted to care for Yutaka. 👀😬
