as much as I loved the first 2 episodes, as much there I don't know why I was less hooked! we'll see the next one

Ren is that kind of person who has a facade. He puts on a strong front and never lets anyone see his vulnerability and I think that stems from his past. From the preview I think that’s him on the hospital with a loved one I guess? I mean money probably had a factor on his supposedly encounter with a guy? Or maybe just an escape? And we still have yet to see why there’s a change in surnames of Ren? I feel like he also likes Kazuma as evidenced by his actions in the past (festival) but he’s definitely scared someone getting close to him and the why is what we still have to find out.

Ren may be feeling responsible for Kazuma getting sick. I think that was him crying at the hospital. It also seems like he lied about it being his first time. The rules for the friends w/benefits seems like they were rules for something else he may have done during the missing years.🤔 Ren thinks he is a convenience. He doesn't seem to know Kazuma really likes him. But Kazuma is slowly breaking down Ren's 🧱 because he finally hugged him back. Also wondering if there is any significance to the black band on Ren's wrist.

It took an unexpected turn but I really love everything again. We slowly adding a piece of the puzzle at each episode. Ren saying to Kazuma he would understand if Kazuma refuse a FWB relationship since he is not gay is a form of coming out from Ren in my mind. Viral Meningitis could be fatal, but bacterial meningitis is even worse. I got one at the age of 5 and there was a girl next room in the hospital with the same disease. She did not survive, I did. I do not have any memory of it, only stories from my family. Even to this day, 42 years later, I still wonder what could have been her name. Strange, hey ?

I enjoy watching your reactions to this series. I’ll say just one thing about the first time scene. There is a translation mistake that changes a lot the meaning. When Ren apologizes before taking the clothes off. He says ‘I’m sorry the (your) first time is with me. It should be with a girl (you - kazuma) like’. He is not talking in first person. It’s important because There is a parallel to a comment he makes this time around again during breakfast. And also when Kazuma cried after sex.

🙊 thought it helps start to understand Ren a bit more. Yes I noticed the translation error is only in Gaga. The other platforms are ok.

I’m loving this show. I like how they give you pieces of the puzzle that is Ren and what happened all those years ago in each episode. Makes you wish they did two episodes a week instead of one.

Ohh now that I think about it you are probably correct Tita, haven’t been able to see the preview clearly but kazuma did fell ill back then, Ren crying is what we need to find out, is it just because he likes him or there’s more to that since we know that after kazuma was hospitalized he never saw Ren again. Now we know he visited Kazuma?? A goodbye??? Ohh this is definitely intriguing
