Fun art in maybe a slightly different style than i've been doing, i tried to focus on making it more stylized and kinda gestural, hopefully going with my intuition a bit more. It also feels like its been a little while since i've done kill la kill fanart, also just simple pinups. I've been obviously doing a lot more of my OCs and comics and things, which is great and a natural evolution but being so caught up in all these projects and ideas it's really easy to forget the simple pleasure of drawing a pinup, just a one off thing that doesn't have to be connected to anything else, doesn't have to have continuity with anything else, where I can do whatever I want cause it can just be its own thing. Maybe I'll draw her again soon and maybe the style and proportions will look totally different and that's fine. I also did this on the intuos large that i just got recently, I have an intuos medium too that i got a few years ago but that wasn't comfortable to use with my 32" monitor. Intuos pro large with a 32" 4k monitor is a really top tier setup (and i didn't have to spend a crazy amount of money, i look for these things on ebay used where i can save a bunch, at the cost of little flaws, missing parts like the monitor not coming with a stand, things like that). Big monitor with lots of room to see everything, lots of room for references especially on multiple monitors, intuos pro large gives you plenty of space to where drawing feels natural and not hard to control. I think switching tablet and program is a great way to switch things up and I think it's important to have variety in the instruments to keep things fresh. With traditional art, it's normal to use a variety of different pencils, pens, markers, paintbrushes, etc, it gives us a break from the dull repetition of doing the same thing, the same way, over and over again. This tablet is also much more comfortable and ergonomic to use for long periods than my ipad which is what i normally use. The drawing feel of the ipad and the simple intuitive UI of procreate is what always keeps me coming back but sometimes ergonomics and comfort wins. It's nice to be able to get in the zone working on a piece for a few hours straight and when I come to my senses again, my neck and back aren't hurting from hunching over to look down at my tablet, and/or my shoulder isn't hurting from raising my hand up to the tablet if it's a little higher up. When i'm normally on my ipad that definitely requires more breaks and rest to not hurt myself, and honestly I haven't spent that much time drawing each day for a while now. I want to get in the zone and get absorbed. Idk if anyone's gonna read all this I guess i felt like yapping today
