That Guy Kye

The movement of the link doesn’t really affect me tbh, but wouldn’t it make sense to put the edit link inside the read doc (somewhere at the top temporarily maybe?).

Most of us are in the discord anyways so I don’t think the link should be moved to the doc

Good chapter see ya on the next one

Straven

Honestly that was bloody well done in my eyes while reading it. Smooth, solid and based as it was built. Looking foreword to how things come about esp now that he's got another ally and one that can hit way above his range and is pretty darn high himself....just like the other two! Last but never the least, thank you for another delightful read.

It's been a while since a BoD reappeared and I love it!

This strange SOMETHING that keeps popping up is either love (of the tropish kind that causes problems for main characters who can't deal with it.) or it's actually the aura trigger for the keystone based on/powered by certain emotions. Por que las dos? I must say, I'm actually having difficulty figuring out which one is more likely. You've emphatically been against such love plot lines between man and pokemon in Borne of Caution (done very well, btw), and so far have avoided it in this one, going more heavily into the friendship, but this chapter is... well it throws a lot into question. Julian's notes are likely a huge red herring (powerful reader bait), but even if they are, it represents a real shift in direction, a signal that we might see plot lines in the future where Julian needs to deal with these things, simply due to the weight of the trope based system he's living in. And, well... this is Borne of DESIRE, so the thought can't be lightly discarded. I confess I may need to go back and reread BoD from the beginning as I may be contradicted by something I've forgotten about, such as an author's note on royal road or some such. However, I think by now I can pretty easily trust you to handle your story well, no matter which direction it turns. That said, I know from personal experience that trying to skirt these uncomfortable themes in an attempt to follow that one, golden plot thread while still doing it the justice it deserves... It can take a pretty heavy toll from any author, mentally. Simply because unlike the reader, an author sees all the unlimited paths in their mind without regard for innocence, and then must push past the unwanted thoughts to actually write what is good. Whether or not these things have any relevance to what is going on in the background of writing your stories, I want you to know that I have immensely appreciated the results of all your efforts, and ask that you please take care of yourself Fuggman. You are "the source of the stories". Thus yourself first, and the stories come second.

Nice to see the return of Julian & co. (TM), and it sounds like Kane is going to make an excellent lancer ;).

Spartanstoryteller

Really not vibing with what feels a lot like foreshadowed romance between Julian and Lulu

Jericho Rising

I love this. While I'm not exactly for a romance plot; the feelings can't be ignored due to well....the way the world works. So whatever happens I'm seriously willing to trust Fugg on this. They've made so many other potentially impossible plot lines work, what's one more.

ChronosPerpetua

No problem with that. If it goes that way, just stop reading. I’m content to let him tell whatever story he wants, his writing is fantastic.

Late the draw for this one, but I feel like it will be a similar thing to BoC when they fully mind melded. I feel like Fuggman is trying to show that an *insane* level of connection is required for Mega evos. And to be passionate to that degree you have to love eachother to some degree. I'm going to put my trust in the author that the story won't go down that path without at least a warning to the audience.
