Did you replace the prologue with this one? Both links go to the new one.

Yes. Being a lazy fugg, I use the same doc for all patreon editing. Any changes to a doc are saved to a master copy before I wipe it and put the next chapter in.

A fantastic opening. I presume the Prologue will be attached to this chapter when the finished one releases. And man, this new fantasy world isn't ready for the killer drone and killer pilot to land. Although, I'm curious to see how Minnie can stay operational for very long, unless her frame is solar powered. Even then, maintenance will be very difficult to do without access to proper parts. Makes me very interested, and I'll be looking forward to more.

I like how you state the AI are not emotionless, they are alien. I personally believe the more intelligent something is, the more complex is becomes in emotions. What emotions do humans feel compared to an ant? What emotions do AI feel when compared to a human?

The problem with that claim is that there are cases of people suffering from brain damage that lose one or more of their emotions while regaining their intelligence. So at least anecdotally we know that it is possible to have no/impaired emotions while being intelligent.
