It appears that Ash Ketchum really is applying smarter tactics and willingness to improve than the anime. Using held items for his Pokemon, and giving his Pokemon basic type counters to their weaknesses. Also, damn Brock is a smart lad for such a young adult. Its apparent hes well and truly invested in his path to become a Pokemon Breeder. Nutrition, TE, rock energy and the molecular structure of minerals. Man is going to go places once he hits the wider world!

...I can see why you wanted to get this out first XD. Also I can't believe I didn't see the parallels between Ninetales and Corvisquire before now - but now that you mentioned it, I can't unsee it. Dammit I'm going to have to go reread all this again, aren't I? :)

A father has two sons. The younger son asks for his portion of the inheritance from his father who grants his request. The son however is wasteful and extravagant and squanders his wealth. Eventually he becomes destitute. As a result, waking up in the fields amongst swine, hungry and envying them their meal he realizes he has nowhere else to go. He must return home empty handed, and intends to beg his father who must surely be furious with him, for a place as a servant in the father's household. Upon returning to his fathers home his father saw him a great ways off and had compassion, and ran to him and fell upon his neck and kissed him. He begins a rehearsed speech about how he has sinned against heaven and against his father. But he does not even finish before his father accepts him back wholeheartedly. He calls for the servants to place upon the son his finest robe, and sandals for his feet, and to place a ring upon his finger. He calls for a festival to be held and to slaughter the fatted calf. The older son who was in the fields refuses to partake when he hears of the sons return. He becomes angry and confronts the father. "These many years have I served you and been faithful and dutiful. I have never broken any of your commandments and yet you never gave me a goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as your younger son comes home after squandering your wealth you kill the fatted calf for him". The father responds "you are with me always, and all that is mine is yours. But your brother was dead and now lives. He was lost and is now found. He has come home to us alive and well and this is cause enough for celebration".

Fuggman used Feels! It's Super Effective! For real though, I've been looking forward to Corvi's reuniting with the group for so long and this was an aching but AMAZING way for that to play out. I also really like the connotation that Lee can get to know his pokemon and their needs better since Ninetails can now livetime trranslate.

I was thinking "Reap". Goes with the idea of stealing vitality with a blade (like from a grim reaper), and with the Grass theme for a harvest.
