Green0Photon

You're Lightning McQueen, holy shit!

BlissForgotten

Amazing chapter as always, and I guess I was definitely wrong for assuming Octillery was the most normal of Lee's active pokemon. Curious to see Shinx's personality once it gets up and running.

Green0Photon

"They don't fuck, ergo they have brain damage." Based ableist Octillery. Anyway, his way of thinking reminds me of the Malamar. Why are all Pokemon squids and octopuses so often so evil? I definitely like how he's still looking to understand friendship though. Great characterization. Also, totally hilarious that Courtney accidentally told a true lie. That's gonna really suck.

Planetace

Considering what life Octillery had gone through, they are the most hardened and most familiar to the echoes of pure Nature. No friends, no lovers, just him and the uncaring Universe throwing hands at each other until one inevitably drops dead...and noone has beaten Life itself. In a way, he is the most normal. Normal in perspective to a life of constant struggle, honing skills and abilities, testing his physical and mental limits. Spent wondering whether he would get a meal one day, or clean water the next. Octillary isnt living, hes surviving. Octillary is a survivor. So now, thrust into the human world, where meals can be grabbed for cheap down the road, where the social connections between Man and Pokemon are THE priority. This is out of his element, a literal fish out of water. Yet, accustomed to constant evolution of ones strategies, Octillery leaped into the deep end with a grace I cannot even fathom. Hes perfectly replicating social cues and behaviours, probably after only a few days study, and is figuring out human culture *extrodinarily quickly*. And deep down, the impact of civilisation has begun to worm its way into his psychopathic veil - that drowns out all of his emotions. A shell *forced* onto him ever seen he was a Remoraid, out of a necessity to survive. Will it be that, perhaps, Lees kindness is beginning to shatter yet anothers worldview and bring about betterment of oneself?

M0och

I live this chapter, the conversations between pokemon are usually great, and the exploration of Octillery’s motivations and thoughts was awesome! Keep up the great work!

I'll make edit suggestions in the edit version but shouldn't corvisquire be corviknight?

Tyric Gaias

Evil? No, I’d say he’s a pure pragmatist. He had to be to survive. Though that thought he had about defining moments? I think that will happen to him and he’ll finally understand. Though I kind of hope Lee figures it out and loves him anyway.

Stephen Place

Rookidee->Corvisquire->Corviknight. He’s only evolved once

Alec

Hm, that Octillery point of view, smh, I suppose there is still hope for Vaporeon after all.

demonmonkey89

Glad to finally be able to see these, it looks wonderful. I didn't find any issues, the only thing I could think of is something I need to check on (Tabitha was referred to as he, I can't remember if that is supposed to be the case). EDIT: Huh, yeah apparently Tabitha is male on the wiki?

Voligne

I thought he had evolved before returning?

Shadistro

Honestly, was not expecting sociopath octopus.

Orion Dye

That was the initial plan, but apparently his experiences changed his mind.

Orion Dye

Is call it leas sociopath and more PTSD.

Dragonin

Unexpected perspective from Brain-Octopus, but him looking at things in a survive and Learn perspective makes sense.

Hazel Collections

Yeah I questioned that too since I only know Tabitha to be a girl's name. But then again I always thought Maxie was a girl's name too

After this peek into a Pokémon noted for its intelligence, I can’t help but wonder how an Allakazam experiences the world. Metagross was a being of almost pure logic like a computer. But an allakazam would be organic for a lack of a better word. If metagross is a pure int build, would allakazam be a pure wis build? Or would it be an almost supernatural intuition?
