it’s so incredibly talented of y’all to create a character like Hiro who is clearly an abuser to both his children and wife and still allow the reader to have empathy for him. I feel like that’s so hard to do in writing so that fact that you’ve done it in a comic is incredible. Like I see Hiro do these bad things but I still want to understand and not blame him but I know it’s his fault. Just so crazy talented

I rarely get to this point but I really and truly loathe Hiro. Oh my Misha...... I'm repulsed to the point I'm physically ill reading chapters with him in them. I absolutely detest that man. I love the flashbacks so much!! I was on Hiro’s side the whole time up until the end, I can’t believe he’d put his hands on his sick wife! Not to mention she also looks VERY pregnant. Poor Sakura, I want to get you away from that man, you don’t deserve the abuse 😩. I didn’t expect to get so emotionally attach to these characters but I am! Fuck him up Shoto!!! Hiro you had us in the first half not gonna lie. It’s wild that he’s really about to beat her AND she’s pregnant! I’m curious though. Did she know Sho Sho was being bullied? Shoto seemed to take his bullying in silence until his recent breaking point. With him being so close to his mom I would assume she would know of any additional bruising (other than hiro’s abuse) or behavior change. Either way it’s no excuse for Hiro to get ready to beat her to a bloody pulp! Also fuck that school! How am I gonna get suspended when I’ve been openly harassed and bullied?! 😤

My previous comment was getting pretty long so I had to break it up 😅. But I wanted to also say how much I love/hated how calm and collected Ren’s father was during that meeting. That man didn’t even blink lol. Which makes me think that’s why Ren doesn’t care if Shoto is a child of a yakuza( on top of his other reasons). His father seemed to care less. He didn’t even flinch when guns were pulled out on him. I certainly wasn’t expecting that type of attitude, but I loved it. Even though I wanted him to be a coward lol. Anyway thank you so much for the update! It was worth the wait. 😁🫶🏾

This was a LOADED chapter that gave so many answers, yet just as many questions? I think Hiro’s untreated mental health is the main reason for his treatment towards mainly his family, (the voices getting louder), and something big must’ve happened that greatly impacted the relationship between Sakura and Hiro. Shoto seems to be proven as the strongest child not only since he is the eldest, but he has always stood up for his mother against Hiro, maybe because he is capable of fighting him to some degree at this age (I don’t see the same bandages and bruises as in early flashbacks). I hope the flashback continues long enough that we are able to see more of how Sakura and Shoto interact on their own vs when Hiro is there, I wonder if she is at this point becoming a shell of the person she once was due to the rocky relationship with Hiro? Thank you SO much Kuru and Tsun for making such an interesting story that’s only gotten better over time (that aerial shot in the first shot was impressive btw😉)

Okay I always read it at a minimum twice. In the first half I was rooting for Hiro. Like yes defend your wife. You don't kill kids? So here's my guess. Hiro has the voices talking in his head, right? And it's messing up his mind. So the 'voices' in his head are saying crappy things about Sakura which is why he hits her now. And Sakura, who looks like her past was repeatedly beaten by someone, her family, ect, right? Now she's experianceing PTS and is now drinking, which Hiro gets upset with too. This is just a guess!
