Dear Patrons

Here's the audio preview for our soon-to-be-published Honest Government Ad. This time it's the Government of Japan's turn. (Patreon Preview) Japan v Capt. Paul Watson | Honest Government AdAs you may have heard, Paul Watson - formerly of Sea-Shepherd - was arrested last month in Greenland on a Japan interpol warrant. Denmark will decide next week whether to extradite him to Japan, so we figured this would be a good time to help amplify this story. The broader context for this video is of course the prosecution and imprisonment of activists like him around the world, including Australia - an increasingly disturbing trend. Also, it's been a while since we've covered non-human (aka, animal) rightsI hope you enjoy this preview. As always, you're the first to hear it so if you have any feedback please let me know! And as always, a reminder that some things will only make sense once you can see the visuals.I'm sharing this preview with all our Patrons, since we'll miss the end of August for publishing the video. I hope by now everyone knows that whilst we publish a video each month, we sometimes prioritise the quality of the content rather than the strict monthly calendar. That being said - the video will be out in the the next couple of days!Until then, have a great weekend and take careGiordano & team

Hi, can you confirm this is a genuine posting please? Thanks

Good wrap-up of whaling history. I assume the thrash metal at the end will make sense with the visuals. 😄

John L Smith

Excellent once again Giordano and team. Looking forward to the visuals and setting this legend free!

Good Gaia Almighty! I am heartbroken that in the 21st century there are industries and governments that are STILL killing whales, let alone prosecuting those who try to defend them. What a disgusting, selfish, destructive species we are. Give 'em hell, Ellen!

Thank you for this very timely topic... Despite Paul's international reputation I don't understand why there have been no demonstrations, at least here in his homeland, against his incarceration...

The shitfuckery going on in the world gnaws on my soul. I wasn’t aware of this story since I’ve been concentrating on helping defeat the 🍊 Shitbird. If Agent Orange steals the US election their Project 2025 plans for the environment will kill Mother 🌎

William Watson

The trash metal is just a wee bit loud... but I assume that's the intent?

thejuicemedia

Thanks for the feedback William, I'm still mixing levels so I'll make sure to turn it down a bit haha!

It's a bit of whale lore! The band is Gojira, a French band and longtime supporters of Sea Sherpherd, and the song is called Flying Whales

The link takes me to a DropBox folder - now I know it’s safe I’ll allow it to load, thanks!

Excellent (if that’s the right word) audio - look forward to the full ad! The world is going mad.

Love it! Well done. 🙏🏼

Ewan - I find if I open the Dropbox link on my computer all kinds of cool options present themselves, my favorite being to open the transcript and read along! You can even comment there but I stick to commenting here! This IS really cool & juicemedia normal!

It's even worse if you watch David Attenborough's recent documentaries and hear that whales and plankton are better than trees at absorbing and storing carbon. I asked ChatGPT for a study to back it up and it gave me this: "'Ocean wildlife and megafauna protection' published in 2024 in The Blue Book: Smart sustainable coastal cities. The study discusses the role of marine ecosystems, including whales and plankton, in absorbing and storing carbon, which helps mitigate the impacts of climate change." The study it linked can be found here https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007/978-3-031-48831-3_2
