Dear Patrons

A quick update from us as we approach the end of November!

Firstly, in breaking news: this morning the federal government finally struck a deal with the Greens in the Senate to pass it's Environment (EPBC) Act reforms. As you know, this is a topic that we've covered several times over the past two years, most notably in this HGA about the EPBC Act, and in this HGA about the Tassie salmon industry. It appears there are some very positive concessions in terms of preventing land clearing and native forest logging by ending the carve-out under Howard's Regional Forestry Agreements which have exempted native logging from the Act for 2 decades, causing irreparable loss.Crucially, coal and gas projects will not be fast-tracked under so-called "national interest"; thereby avoiding the shitty fast-track laws we're seeing in Canada and New Zealand. The reforms don't go as far as hoped, for example in addressing the EPBC Act's inability to make decisions based on climate impacts. But it could have been much worse, if the Government had instead struck a deal with the nutters at the Coalition. In other news: Our latest Honest Government Ad about the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal and PRGT Pipeline in northern British Columbia was well received, especially from our Canadian cousins. Well, not every Canadian... this cooker didn't like it. (A reminder that the HGA did not receive funding from any of the people mentioned and was 100% produced by our Patrons!)The HGA did well considering it was about a very obscure topic, receiving over 1M views across our pages; with the biggest reach on Instagram, where we published a short/vertical version of the HGA. I also have some exciting news on this front: during our recent trip to the Peace and Unity Summit in northern B.C., I proposed the idea of Wet'suwet'en and Gitxsan First Nations coming to Australia, and was able to assist in making this happen. So in early December, there will be a delegation of extremely awesome visitors hitting our shores. You heard it here first! I'm hoping there will be a public event in Melbourne and/or Sydney. In which case, I'll let you know the details as soon as the dates are confirmed. Stay tuned! Finally: I am currently working on our last HGA of the year, which will be out in early December. So I'll be back shortly with more about that, too.Until then, take careGiordano

I like how the cooker declared they never claimed to be a journalist, while trying to hold you to journalistic standards when you've quite clearly stated you're a) an ad, not news. And b) parody. And then it's triple funny because you've actually upheld a lot more journalistic standards than them anyway!

Happy to help fund HGA take downs of shitfuckery anywhere in the world. particularly if it inspires and upsets the right people respectively. All the best Juice team

I hope the cooker choked on his accusation, once you informed him that we patrons fund your HGAs —not any of the organizations he speculated. What is most telling is that he did not address any of the actual issues you raised about KSI LISIMS, just howled about who is funding you. Pffft.

I started reading the piece by the cooker and thought ‘This must be some cranky boomer type’ and then hit the part where they said they were a ‘senior with a lot of time on their hands’. Called it. Something about the writing style gave it away. Happy to be part of the crowdfunding for HGA’s!

your boomer-cooker radar is working fine, Rachel!

I had to marvel at the conspiracy theory that we are trying to undermine Canada's LNG industry in order to help Australia's gain a competitive advantage!

Thank you Peter! Shitfuckery knows no borders 💛🙏
