Let's go! 2026 (Patreon)

Dear Patrons of the Juice MediaWe hope this finds you spending some quality time with your loved ones. We know many of you work hard to make the world a better place, and to support your families. But I hope you're finding the time to slow down and make good memories as we approach the new year.
That's what we're doing right now. We're on a little roadtrip in the beautiful south-west of Western Australia, stopping in small towns to visit good-old friends along the way.
Thank you for supporting our work in 2025.
It's been a big year for us.
The first half of 2025 saw us knuckling down with back-to-back videos as we covered the Aussie election, which brought Season 3 of the Honest Government Ads series to a close.
After the election, we took a break and attended the Peace & Unity Summit in northern British Columbia. We were invited here by Wet'suwet'en and Gitxsan land defenders, who wanted to thank us for our work by letting us experience the power of their land (Lax'Yip) and ceremony. It was a formative experience for our little family; and for me, the highlight of 2025.
When we got home, we embarked on Season 4 with a series of international topics: Gaza, Norway, New Zealand and Canada. And rounded off the year with an Aussie HGA about the social media ban.
We actually made one more HGA in 2025 but it's not published yet. (Spoiler alert: it's about the Tour Down Under, Australia's premier bicycle race which is sponsored by major climate bastard, Santos.) We'll publish it in early January.
Then in early December, we returned the favour to our friends from Canada by bringing them over for their first ever visit to Australia! Here we are with Na'moks, high-chief of the Wet'suwet'en nation (second from left), Gitxsan leader Gwii Lok'im Gibuu (centre) and Kai Nagata of Dogwood (Right, with Lucy).
I didn't notice this until I look at the photos, but Juno saw fit to stick a lego-man up his nose in honour of this solemn occasion.
These are some of the legends who welcomed us to Canada earlier this year, and I'm stoked to have helped instigate their first ever visit to Australia.
I hope you'll indulge me if I dedicate a few paragraphs to telling you about this international visit, which turned out to be extremely meaningful in terms of building international solidarity and relationships for the future.
I brainstormed this visit with Kai during the Peace and Unity summit: the idea was for Na'moks and crew - also known as Team FAFO (Fuck Around and Find Out) - to come and learn from Australia's experience with the LNG industry; meet friends and allies; and most importantly, tell Woodside (one of the partners behind the Ksi Lisims LNG terminal and PRGT pipeline) to fuck off from their lands.
And in December, we made that happen.
Na'moks and Team FAFO were welcomed to Australia on December 4 with a smoking ceremony at the Aboriginal Tent Embassy (in Canberra). Then flew up to Karratha (WA) to meet traditional owner Raelene Cooper who has been fighting Woodside to protect the sacred Murujuga rockart on the Burrup pensinsula.
Their visit did not go unnoticed, getting coverage in severeal Australian media outlets inclyding the ABC, The Australian, The Point and others.
Check out this video of Raelene and Na'moks meeting in front of Woodside's North West Shelf terminal. And here they are standing in front of Woodside's HQ in Perth.
Team FAFO then flew down to Naarm (Melbourne), where we helped them recover from a hectic travel schedule and gave them their first-ever taste of roo. Our kids Luca and Juno remembered them from our recent visit to their lands and it was beautiful to see them reconnect.
Here's Team FAFO on the Juice Media set :)
I introduced Team FAFO to Uncle Robbie Thorpe, who interviewed Na'moks and Gwii Lok'im Gibuu on his radio show (I highly recommend listening to their interview here). We also held a public forum together with the students and staff behind Stop Woodside Monash.
Coincidentally, Team FAFO happened to be in Melborne for the historic day of the signing of Australia's first-ever treaty. As dignitaries from a foreign First Nation, they were invited to witness the community-only ceremony, as well as the public concert that evening featuring Briggs, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins and Yothu Yindi. (As their hosts, we tagged along!)
On December 13, Na'moks at Team FAFO were checked-out of Australia the proper way: with a smoking ceremony at Camp Sovereignty, in the heart of Naarm. I felt honoured, as the only whitefella present, to witness this event: the soft-spoken but powerful words of wisdom shared; the gifts exchanged. So many relationships and connections were forged during this visit, which will hopefully lead to an important alliance across the Pacific. I am proud to have helped facilitate it.
At the end of the ceremony, Gwi Lok'im Gibuu thanked me for faclitating their visit to Australia and gave me a traditional copper shield (Hayetsk): a significant Gitxsan cultural item than can only ever be gifted. It's hard to put into words how meaninful this was for me.
In between making videos, hosting these incredible people, and taking time to be with family over the christmas period - I haven't had a chance to tell a single person about this experience. But I really wanted to share it with all of you.
Partly because none of this would be possible without your support of our work.
And partly because I'd like you to know that you are not only supporting us to make Honest Government Ads; but also this kind of solidarity-building work behind the scenes.
So I want to end this somewhat long post by letting you know how much we appreciate you supporting all this work in 2025 - an incredibly meangful year for many reasons.
Sure, we've had our fair of challenges too. As a young family, we are forever juggling the joys and demands of parenting, producing quality content and running a family business - sometimes we nail the right balance, and other times we make a dog's breakfast of it.
We also had to say goodbye to one of our regular actors, Ellen Burbidge, who earlier this year moved to Tasmania with her partner. Ellen has been an incredible actor in many of our best HGAs, for some 7 years, and we want to acknowledge all the great work we did together. I can't say I'm exactly looking forward to 2026 - it will be another year of madness as things continue to fall apart, as they inevitably must. But I can say we'll be ready to do everything we can to make sense of the madness and help us all feel sane amid the shitfuckery.
2026 will also mark the 10 year anniversary of the Honest Government Ads. Can you believe it? We made the first HGA in May 2016. And here we are now, 100+ episodes later, knocking at the doors of 2026.
And once again - that's all thanks to you. We'll catch you in early January with our cheeky HGA about the Santos Tour Down Under.
Until then, from all of us here at the Juice Media, we wish you all the best for the new year ahead - with as little shitfuckery as possibleGiordano and family
