Dear PatronsHere is the latest Honest Government Ad you've helped us to produce.

This is one of our Government™ episodes, where we take a big-picture look at what's going on on planet Earth... It's not a pretty picture. But there's also some glimmers of hope - from Hungary, Ireland, Nepal and Bangladesh. And that's what this episode is really about - raging against the dying of the light. Coz as history shown, things get shit, just before they get better.

I love making these big-picture Government™ HGAs from time to time. It's a form of therapy. I think it helps us to deal with the shitshow when we can visualise its dimensions and dynamics. But I'm curious to know what you think, too. Would you like to see more of these kinds of big-picture HGAs? Or do you prefer when we focus on single topics? (You can also say, both!)I also want to say a word about our actor, Luca Banjo - who is appearing here in her first-ever HGA. In fact, her first ever paid acting job! Luca is a 1st-year student at WAPA (The Western Australian Performance Academy). She is only 19 but goddam brave and talented. Obviously takes after her mother (Jess Beckerling, the legend with whom I collaborated on our Alcoa HGA). And I think Luca killed it. (If you agree please click through and let her known in the YouTube comments!) The significance of working with such a young actor on this HGA was not lost on me. It's a scary world Luca and her friends are inheriting. But it also filled me with hope that this generation is full of fire and talent. (It was also exhausting lol young people have so much more energy..)From the admin department:1. I didn't share the audio preview for this HGA (apologies) because but we made it at blindingly fast speed: Luca happened to be here visiting her family during the easter break; so we decided to make a quick episode before she had to go back to Perth! 2. I decided to try publishing this HGA to Instagram first. I normally always publish our HGAs on YouTube first. But engagement has been strangely weak there owning to god-knows what algorithm changes since the start of the year. Whereas the HGAs have been going off on Instagram (where our last two HGAs both had 1M+ views). And this latest HGA is no exception: it's been up for 24 hours and already has 900k views + 26k shares. Here's the link.If you're not on insta you can also find this HGA on Facebook here (where's it's had 400k views). And I've just published it to YouTube here (let's see how it goes). That's all from me for now. We are about to have a long-weekend here in Australia, so we're taking Luca and Juno on a camping trip. I really cherish these special days with these little guys - they're not going to be little for much longer. As always, thank you from all of us here at the Juice Media for supporting our work on Patreon. I'll catch you with the next HGA. Until then, take care... and good luck ;)Giordano & team

John

I loved the message of hope at the end. And Luca did a great job.

Edward Lander

Luca's a natural - great to see you platforming WA talent! 👏

SALLY WARMINGTON

Excellent HGA! Congrats for fitting all that global shitfuckery into such a short ad!!!!! Well done Luca! 👍👏👏👏

bob kay

Keeping HGAs as a balanced quota ie 3x Singles for every 1x Worrldview may give it variety for the viewers out there in online world rather than be isolated going unnoticed. Great HGA btw 👍 keep em coming

Rebecca Dominguez

Fucking awesome. Happy with both formats. I love some good news and need to know the shit that is going down

Bryan A.

Do Not Go Gentle Into That F**king Good Night! Brilliant work, guys. Specially like "Cool and Orwell"...

DrWex

Love the big ones, especially where you highlight the connections and not just give a laundry list of shitfuckery. "This war criminal and his orange chimp" was great!

Peter Todd

Fabulous, as always! Luca did really well, fits perfectly into the role.

Mark D Larsen

It's painful for me to remember there was a time when my generation protested the Vietnam War, promoted the Civil Rights movement, advocated for the Equal Rights Amendment. How all that progress has been squelched and undermined by greedy mammon lovers makes my head spin. I fear our Paleolithic proclivities are still bubbling up in our genes, even if it means destroying humanity, other species, and the planet.

Johan Zijlstra

I like both! I'd like to add that this one made me cry. It's really impactful! Edit 2: I watched it a second time and it made me cry again.

Kim Hillier

Superb as usual Jordano I forgot how to spell your name. Adventure before dementia!

Pete Mitchell

I really wish your content wasn't necessary. Not because I don't love it (I do!), but because the douche-nozzles in positions of power are playing with the lives of everyone on the planet and need to be stopped before it's too late. I yearn for a world where we elect philosophers and humanitarians to positions of power, and they remain philosophical and humanitarian, and prove that we can live in peace, provide the necessities of life for all, and above all care for each other. Perhaps my pessimism and cynical nature demand that I ask this question: do those folks exist...and would they even want the job? Thanks for all you do, it's important - to me, certainly, but I believe content like yours is necessary to turn the tide of oppression and shit-fuckery. Oh, and both, please! Peace.

Jay Wilson

Great debut Luca! Memo to Giordano: "I think she's worth more money." 😊

Joel

Great work as always 👍

Trisha Lee

Thanks team, great work... but this is the first time a Juice ad has made me cry. So clear, so relevant, so terrifying.

Jay Wilson

Regarding future vids, here are a couple of suggestions... I suspect that timely 'single issue' topics big enough to warrant a vid are few and far between. Having said that, here's one for your consideration. The short story is that the UK Govt (think the spooks in MI5, MI6 etc) authored a report on how climate change & biodiversity loss pose a danger to national security. You guessed it. It was so bad they didn't release it.  Then under pressure they released a vanilla version. https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/696e0eae719d837d69afc7de/National_security_assessment_-_global_biodiversity_loss__ecosystem_collapse_and_national_security.pdf Then ITV got involved. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59DZiPdsOc8 Because of my involvement with Rupert Read and the Climate Majority Project, I know that there's a big push on now to alert the public to this shitfuckery. And that's where I thought you might be able to help? If this is not a suitable single issue, then my second thought is this. Maybe there are other Govt reports that are so dire that they are being covered up? So, if thru your sources you could get wind of them, a video exposing multiple 'cover-ups' (including the UK one) might interest your viewers. Just my two bob's worth, cheers mate! p.s. Robin L

I do really love these global HGAs, very deep thanks to you guys, after all, there's so much very obviously 'in concert' shitfuckery going on at the mo (and in the last handful of years), it's totally apt to gent

Jason Orcamoon

Right up there with Orange Shitgibbon!

Jason Orcamoon

Pete - I believe those people DO exist! Countries with Parliamentary governance, especially when paired with mandatory, ranked-choice voting, have a better chance to curb enshitification compared to our two-party, first-past-the-post system here in the USA.

Pete Mitchell

Agreed. I think it's high time to send another letter to my senators and representative specifically requesting a revamp of our current election system, because the one we have is shit.

Jason Orcamoon

Giordano - Great job! Kudos to your team! I find it interesting that the vertical, Instagram phone friendly format is reaching more people. I’m guessing they are also young, more Luca’s generation. I find the horizontal, YouTube format much more powerful. I loved when we went from 4:3 to 16:9 TVs. But if 9:16 (wag) gets the message out, we need to recognize and honor that trend.

Patrick Salsbury

I like both styles: the focused topics, and the broad survey of the shitty landscape. And I enjoy pretty much every single one that you do, and they all make me proud to be a supporter of your work and team, so whichever topics you tackle, I will watch them and share them and enjoy them, despite the actual shitfuckery they reveal. 😁

David Bishton

Bold and brash (with an occasional smile), which is what we need right now. Pull no punches on the shitfucking world "leaders". Well done, Luca!

David Bishton

Small suggestion on the app - the 0.5 speed option is pretty worthless (abnormally slow) but a 0.75 or 0.8 speed would be welcome for my senior ears.

thejuicemedia

Hi Johan, thanks for sharing that - i feel you! xo

thejuicemedia

Thanks DrWex, yes to joining the dots and connections!

thejuicemedia

Yes I am really enjoying working with and shining more light on the incredible talent down here in WA!

thejuicemedia

Thanks Pete for this thoughtful message. It's a very good question. Those people absolutely do exist and they often put their hand up to run for office, often at great personal sacrifice. The question is, are there enough people people out there who will know about, and vote for them? I think an educated and informed electorate will elect the kinds of people you are yearning for to assume positions of power. That's where we (and many others) are trying to lend a hand, by educating people to make better informed decisions in our elections

thejuicemedia

Thanks Jay! I appreciate the links and suggestions. We have a similar report here in Australian that was withheld for "national security" reasons. I believe many countries are getting similar reports. It would certainly make for a good international HGA. I've added it to our (ever-growing, never-ending) list of topics! G

thejuicemedia

Thanks Jason! Yes, I am slowly trying to re-oerientate myself (literally) to this new format - we have to accept that things change and go with the flow when needed!

thejuicemedia

Hi David, I appreciate this feedback - which I have noted. We try to strike a balance between clarity and briskness. Good on your for using the speed change feature to make it easier to follow!

Garth Taylor

An excellent HGA. Luca did a wonderful job.
