Hello Patrons! Here's the audio preview for our forthcoming video. The Australien Government has decided it wants us to become one of the top 10 exporters of arms in the world (yeah, so great right?) but there's a lot of secrecy about what we're selling, and to whom. So I figured we could all do with a little Government Honesty. The video is almost finished and I was going to upload it tomorrow. But then Lucy pointed out that it's the Easter long weekend and that many will (hopefully) be away from their computers, spending time with family and friends (as they should). So we've decided to hold off on publishing it until Tuesday, when everyone will be back from the holidays. As it turns out, this means our video will only be out on April 3rd. (I'm probably the only one who cares, but I just thought I'd let you know in case you were wondering where our March video was!)Given the dates, we're making this preview available to all Patrons, not just those in the Previews Club, so everyone can get some March Juice to enjoy over the Easter break. As always, please let us know your thoughts, feedback and suggestions for improvements in the comments. It's always very exciting for us to hear your thoughts before we publish!Have a great weekend and catch you in a few days when we drop this new video.Giordano & team

What?? No I can't wait until April 3 I need my Juice fix! :P

Matthew Schmidt

YEEEESSSSSSS! BUNNINGS WARHOUSE! Magic as always!

thejuicemedia

"PINEY'S WARHOUSE" - it will be more obvious when the visuals are there! Thanks Matthew :)

Ragnarok

lol brilliant. I was going to ask for an Honest Ad on the Australien Government's aim to be in the Top 10 of the world's arms dealers and war mongers and merchants of death, but you've already made one. Are we really supposed to believe the nutbags in power want peace when they so actively seek to profit from war?

Maria Cubillo

I not able to hear the last words she whisper. What I think she said is "unless they are white or African farmers," am I in the right?

thejuicemedia

Very close! "Unless they are white South African farmers". Its a cheeky reference to a recent story where the Government decided to prioritise humanitarian visas for white farmers in South Africa: https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2018/mar/27/dutton-should-prioritise-refugees-on-nauru-not-white-south-africans-unhcr-says

hehe glad to know we're on the same wavelength. Someone else also requested this topic via the Advisory Board a few weeks ago. It was also suggested to me by Scott Ludlam when I met him last year. (When he was still in the Senate, he tried very hard to table motions to force the government to disclose what weapons we are selling, and to whom - without much luck) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD0YBDGJtgQ

I am unable to play this as every few seconds it glitches like a stuck record (which does make me think someone should do dubstep mix tracks of juice media). Same happened with last audio you released. I theorize it is due to my tablet being over 5yrs old so it can't keep up! I am patient so can wait til the videos out. Anyway just posting in case others have this issue too.

Matthew Schmidt

Ahhh! Even better! My apologies, my bleary ears were listening after midnight on quiet tinny speakers lest I wake the house.

Benito Cao

Boom! Boom! Absolutely brilliant! Outstanding! There are some lines that will become all-time classics, like: "Bunnings Warhouse: Lowest Morals are Just the Beginning". Brilliant! I can't wait to see the video and share it around.

Moz in Oz

I had to download it then play the file, but that worked for me. Probably means I've committed piracy. Or privacy. chick-chick-boom :)

SOB

Renewables...sigh...indeed, let us sell arms against a sea of troubles :( "Piney's Warhouse: Lowest Morals are just the beginning" surely has to be the next tshirt!

thejuicemedia

Sorry to hear you're having playback problems. As Moz suggests, try downloading the file "HGA_AussieArms_PREVIEW.mp3" (which you should see at the top of the post) to your desktop/device, and playing it from there. Does that work? A big fat yes to dubstep remixes of Juice Media tracks :)

thejuicemedia

:) I can't wait to be able to make custom teeshirts - I'm in the process of setting up a tee-spring store for this purpose

Moz in Oz

Oh, mix it in with the chick-chick-boom chick from a few years ago. It will add that extra bit of twisted stupidity to the song... our gubbermint is basically the grown up version of that. "you've got a pistol? Yeah, well my dad's got a fighter jet... no, I meant to say, my government is going to have a fighter jet. Yeah"

Jonathon Piasente

Love the topic and most of the content. My only issue is the profanity, which is unnecessary and reduces the audience I am able to share this with. Please consider cleaning up the language in these videos so that educators can share them with students.

thejuicemedia

Thanks for the feedback Jonathon. I've actually toned down the language quite a bit - i think there's only one instance of profanity in this latest video. I get what you're saying. On the flip side, the language makes it appealing to another demographic. (It also helps to ensure the videos aren't confused for actual Government communications - something the Government here has argued could happen - believe it or not).

Riaan Pietersen

Farm killings in South Africa is a very real and serious issue at the moment, along with Land Expropriation driven by the EFF and the Black First Land First movement. It is causing a lot of tension nationally in ZA. Would you consider doing a RapNews on that, Giordano?

Ragnarok

Sooo the government thinks it's perfectly fine to spy on every Australians emails, texts, pictures, videos, and everything we do on the internet (data retention) and to spy on everyone's physical whereabouts everywhere all the time (GPS tracking cell phones, number plate scanners, and proposed facial recognition) but the government forks over almost $3 billion in tax payer money to an industry of control, carnage, and death that is selling weapons to international terrorist funding and civilian slaughtering Saudi Arabia and we the people don't have the right to know any of the details? Zero privacy for the people while the utmost secrecy for the government, cause you know, terrorism and national security and whatever other bullshit buzzwords these psychopathic criminal nutbags wanna spew forth for the brainwashed masses to gobble right up.

thejuicemedia

Hi Riaan, while I was in South Africa in January I started laying some groundwork to make a video about SA - but it would be an Honest Govt Ad (eg Visit South Africa), rather than a Rap News video. I hope I can make it happen this year!

Katie Batty

Personally I like the profanity ;)

Damon Driscoll

Love this one already, can't wait for the visuals. I have upped my sponsorship for next month, and hope you keep a good thing going. Keep the bastards satirized.

canberrastreets

I rather hope a certain major hardware chain takes exception to being linked to the Australien Government in this way . . .

Jonathon Piasente

That's understandable. Is it possible to release clean versions of each video and make them available to Patrons?

thejuicemedia

That would make for an interesting development in the genuine satire saga

thejuicemedia

Thanks for the suggestion Jonathon. Short answer: not really! I mean, I could bleep-out the swearing but then in order to make it available to Patrons I'd have to first publish it on Youtube... and uploading the same content twice isn't really a thing. I could create a whole new channel for clean versions, but clearly this is a lot of extra work! I'd really only consider doing that if there was a huge demand for it - which I don't think there is. That being said, I'm taking all this on board and will see what we can do in future videos :)
