Dear Patrons, here's the preview of our next Honest Government Ad!West Papua has been one of the most requested topics by Patrons and general audience alike.And I thought it would make a good segue to our Timor-Leste video (which I hope you enjoyed).Like Timor-Leste, I've approached West Papua from an Australien perspective. It's a heavy topic. And a complex story. So I hope I've done it justice.If you're not familiar with West Papua, you might find it hard to follow the audio without the visuals. So I thought I'd share the script for this one, too. Giordi, 2 things 1/ there's not daily shipments from Cairns... More like every 10 days. But it is a lot of stuff. 2/ can you please mention the AFP There's a Campaign starting very shortly called #makeWestPapuaSafe Here's some photos from our action last week. It's going to specifically focus on the AFP which is training special forces Kopassus D88 and mobile brigade. 85 of 95 people killed in WP in the last 8 years have been Papuans (mostly peaceful protestors) Even though the money is for terrorism. Seems really good, but I don't know anything about it, so ....but if there is not daily shipments from Cairns, like Margaret suggests, then it would be wise to drop the word "Daily" I don't think that would hurt the Ad, and any little errors, like that, cast doubt on the veracity of the entire production. Even though the comedy and satire is a great vehicle, your impact is diminished mightily if you lose credibility. Provide references, leave the sensationalism to the shock jocks and main stream media. Cheers you legends, keep up the great work! P.S. I know a guy who regularly visits PNG to service their power stations, if you want to chat to him.

i have been following West PNG and im glad ur sticking it up them ...its about time some1 took on Indonesia n Australia for what theyre doing to west PNG ...gutless pricks

simple, direct n u covered all t dirty secrets t indonesia n australian govts hve hidden since the 60s. i dont know if ur aware but after Suharto took over Indonesia in 1967 (i think he got the go ahead from US for his coup) ...anyway afterwards a US company which morphed into the Freeport company were given the mining licence in west papua new guinea by t Indosnesian govt.

Thanks Margaret, I've just replied to you via DM with my email address. Yeah, I am aware of the training programs between the SAS/AFP and the TNI and D88, but I am still in the process of finding resources for visuals - so if you have some good links, that would be helpful!

Yeah, apparently he signed the deal with Freeport in '67 even before the "act of free choice" formally integrated West Papua into Indonesia. Just goes to show how Suharto was Western capitalism's man in the region....

Do one from the Indonesian perspective. All the Indonesians are saying how their government are so innocent when they are sending tonns of Javanese colonist to replace native populations in Papau, Bali and previously Timor Leste.

I did think of it! But to successfully make videos from the perspective of other country/people, I would need to collaborate closely with those people - and that takes time! But it's something I would absolutely love to do when I have the resources to pull that off. Let's see!
