Dear legendary Patrons,Here's the latest Honest Government Ad you've helped us produce.
I know - it's only the first week of Feb and we're back already with a new video! I'm hoping to pick up the pace slightly over the coming months as we approach a general election here in Australia - coz let's face it, we might not have this shithouse Government for much longer, so we need to make the most of it.After the election, we'll turn our attention to more international issues. But right now we're about to go hard on ScoMo and the rest of these arsebiscuits. So consider this the first of our election series of Honest Government Ads.There are many topics to cover, but I want to kickoff off with Murdoch and our Government's attacks on the ABC, because this will play a HUGE role behind the scenes leading up to the election. In fact, it will continue to play a huge role even after the election - so it's a good place to start imo.
The other reason I wanted to make this video is because I've noticed a lot of people hating on the ABC recently. Don't get me wrong, Aunty has its faults and they should be called out. But we can still value the hugely important role the ABC plays. For one, there's no other media org that has both the resources and the will to pull off the kind of investigative journalism into the Australian Government's shitfuckery that we've seen coming out of 4 Corners. Well, maybe apart from TheJuiceMedia and friendlyjordies ;) Thankfully we don't depend on Government funding ;P
A big shout-out to Peter Todd who suggested the "Authorised By" line when we shared the Preview of this HGA. I love it when we can draw on your suggestions for vids, so I might keep up that tradition up when we post Previews!In other news: A huge warm welcome back to Ellen who has been away traveling for the past year. So from now on you'll be seeing lots of both Zoë and Ellen! :)
