Sorry it took so long.Sadly I am not exagerating when I say that British people, the poor and the young especially, are drowning in multiple crises, the country entering a profound social emergency.The current leadership election is a circus that makes no difference to the material conditions of people amid a spiralling cost of living crisis. The Conservative Party is basically a death cult at this point. And Labour is... well, that's the problem - where are they?The only hope seems to be coming from the people - who might just be in the process of realising how much power they have if they act collectively.That is why I dedicated this Honest Government Ad not just to heaping shit on the Tories (though of course, that had to be done), but also to highlighting some of the inspiring actions that are taking place in the UK right now. Like the strikes and the Don'tPayUK and Enough is Enough campaigns.I hope this HGA helps to highlight these campaigns; or if nothing else, provides a sanity-check and some release, during these genuinely troubling times.And don't worry Aussie friends, we will be getting back to shitfuckery in our own backyard soon enough. Like many of you, I'm sure, I've been observing our political landscape realigning after a decade of rot. I've been watching closely, thinking and talking with people to understand how best we can be of help in ensuring that the remaining years in this critical decade are not wasted - especially on climate policy.So whilst it might appear that I'm taking a hiatus from our usual Aussie coverage, rest assured that ideas and scripts are brewing behind the scenes :)Big shout-out to Ruth, one of our Patrons, who suggested the Authorised by message - which was a perfect way of reminding our Aussie audience that we haven't forgotten about them as we cover shitfuckery abroad.
