1. Two half-strips in one, with borderless panel in which Joyce walks us from one to the other. Willis's comments on the recent unused strip show us how he thinks about allocating partial vs. whole strips. 2. The October 24 strip had Dorothy saying "what the fuck", so the current strip makes for three character/what-the-fucks in four days, for an average rate of 0.75 character what-the-fucks/day. We could also score Ruth's two "what"s from yesterday somehow. This is all very, very important.

The best-case scenario - which I think may be what Seth Aaron Hershman is getting at - is that Joyce does "get this out of her system" in these initial post-realization interactions with Carla, so that when she finally meets Jocelyne as Jocelyne she'll be ready (or, as ready as Joyce can ever be).
