...Damn, this one hurts.

Andrea Andrew

🎼Carla, you can drive my car. And maybe I’ll love you🎼.

Railway Series Book Club

ruth's been on a real losing streak these past few conversations she's had, huh

Astariel

Fucking cops.

Logibear

I hope the vengeance arc goes all the way to the top. And that the Police Commissioner gets Creampied.......... wait

Andrea Andrew

I’m reminded of all the slurs I’m called by conservatives.

voyager-ngc5195

Remember to leave at least one survivor to act as a warning to others, Carla!

C

I'm sorry to hear that. Some people are full of hate and it's disgusting.

Harold

@Astariel: ...is something that no one should be doing

GundamBradley

That was a naive question, Ruth. Also, beside the point, but her eyes look very pretty here.

Brendan Thompson

And how is that any different from the usual?

5099 5618 v2.0

Ruth made a naive comment? Well, I guess the moon *is* full...

Maude Reads Things

Well, sarcastic bitching with someone can be comforting! I hope so anyway. It's the bedrock upon which 99% of my friendships and my current romantic relationship are based

Sajuuk-Khar

Her proximity to Britishness has made her stupid u_u

Sajuuk-Khar

Ruth, I’m afraid you’re suffering from Englishman’s Dumbassery. It’s sexually transmitted

Amós Batista

The horror of this is not only to know that Carla was attacked to be trans, but also to know that, somehow, cops knew this.

Railway Series Book Club

the last chapter for her was like, an uninterrupted string of Ls... becky parried her mental health check-in, her only response to cops storming in was limply asking for a warrant, and sal no-sold her when she asked for context regarding said cops! an embarrassing show all-round, which is incredibly funny

Railway Series Book Club

i mean, "the ruttech girl is transgender" is common knowledge in this universe, so not that surprising

Tessea

On one hand, I have to wonder how the cops might have known whose room it was when they were searching. It speaks to the cops maybe knowing more about the individual students than they should. Edit: Maybe they didn't know who she was specifically, but found meds while tossing the room. On the other hand, this is just such bullshit. I don't have polite words to describe how even the thought of this happening to someone makes me feel in or out of fiction. My heart goes out to everyone who has to live in fear of such abuses of power. I hate living in fear. NO ONE deserves it.

Sajuuk-Khar

Heartbreaking thought: is Ruth so off her game because meds and Jason are making her happy and kind of content, she feels like not a waste of humanity or time??? (placing my own Great Big Sticker™️on this thought that says “I am a depressed ADHDer whomst frequently feels like his sharpest moments are when he’s Going Through It”)

Sajuuk-Khar

More seriously as stated above I wonder if it’s a (soon to be destroyed!) sense of safety/contentment

Empress of Robots

Ugh, this comic hits so hard on something I think we don't see often but doesn't really have a name. It's like the opposite of trans broken arm syndrome, whereby cis doctors believe that anything wrong with a trans person is because of HRT (like a broken arm). I can't count the times where a cis person has asked me (or another trans person) whether something bad in our lives happened for some random, often nonsensical reason, to avoid confronting the idea that it happened explicitly because we're out and trans. Good job, Ruth. GREAT allyship. Honestly? Carla should have slammed the door in her face.

holdinglines

Man if they found meds I hope they didn't take it as 'evidence'

Sajuuk-Khar

oh GEEZ you know those fuckers might too D:< fucking pigs, man

5099 5618 v2.0

@S-K IMHEX, that feeling is usually the ADHD lying to you.

Seth Aaron Hershman has they/she pronouns

god, "a REAL woman wouldn't have been able to beat us big strong men, musta been one of those trannies with their unfair physical advantages" feels pretty plausible as a way they'd approach the situation
