"what's all this carin' for me an' shit, who does that"

Logibear

Everyone deserves a Marcie in their lives.

KiasyonSFM

Aww Sal! Love yah voice!

Astariel

Damn, hitting Sal right in the guilt. Hope she takes it to heart.

jafortee

perceiving fills the air

Ragtime

What is would give to know what Marcie was thinking the night Sal and Danny were singing.

Lazuli

awwwwwwwwwwww

Andy

"stupid friends who love me" would make a decent book title

Sajuuk-Khar

it’s a good voice, Sal!!

Tessea

Awwwwwwwwww!!! This is the Marcie content we need!

Onyx

I love both of them SO MUCH

Shane Wegner

You can let your mom (and dad) and your past poison the well of something good, or you can not. Decisions. That said I should sing more myself so the struggle is real.

Jack Deeth

the post title... I thought I'd slept through a whole day

Harold

Now someone has to say it in-comic to make it eligible

Headcannon: title of strip is said to the cadence of "Stupid" by Ashnikko

Girlycore

Has Marcie ever had speech bubbles before to translate from ASL? I could be very mistaken, but I don't remember seeing them before.

Girlycore

I mean obviously yesterday, but before that?

Girlycore

Having poked the archive (now that the marcie tag is working again yay!) it is NOT the first time her ASL has been translated to English, but it seems to be the first time it happened in speech bubbles. I really like the change! It doesn't look like a spoken speech bubble, but it also isn't so "othered" from everyone else's way of speaking.

tifani

This friendship is so important.

tifani

I was also going to say it’s guilt. Misplaced guilt.

ADEWFSDVXCERSDRFF DGXFDDQWAZCWEASZX SAL. MARCIE. TALKING ABOUT THEIR HISTORY. Yeah, I am dead, you're talking to my ghost now. BRB, I'm off to get the soul vacuum to put myself back in my body.

Maude Reads Things

This one isn't about her parents. She feels it's unfair of her to sing when Marcie can't anymore, which she blames herself for. It may not be rational, but feelings often aren't and if singing was something they used to enjoy doing together, it may feel especially painful.

Shane Wegner

I think it's a factor, given how they encouraged Walky to sing on, uh, maybe Himmel the Singing Hymnal?, but not her. I can't imagine that had no effect.

Maude Reads Things

Maybe but Sal was also in choir as a child and it seems like she used to do it more before it was 'unfair'.

Ali Youngman

Ok. How do I have absolutely no memory of this?
