C

That lasted seven seconds.

Lazuli

yeah dorothy. what the fuck.

Logibear

Nope. I was wrong. The costume definitely bestows the wearer with its kinks

KiasyonSFM

Oh Billingsworth how will you react?

Joe Crow - Words & Pictures

Walky is getting so tired of having to randomly cope with Dotty’s spiral episodes, at this point.

Logibear

When confronted with irrefutable truth, Billie will still find a way to rationalize this as Sal.

Harold

Walky: "Jennifer, what the FUCK"

Harold

"Fuck, and just when I finally got the *voice* right"

Packy Anderson

Thank you, Willis. Now I have J. Geils Band stuck in my head.

Sajuuk-Khar

Jennifer: Seriously, Dorothy?! This is, like, cultural appropriation! It’s practically blackface!!!

Astariel

Well, this is better than running into a cop, at least.

Sajuuk-Khar

Obviously Dorothy stole the costume from where Billie put it for Sal

Jay

Walky would really be the one to easily know who's behind the mask out of anyone else in the cast. Except Amber/AG themselves.

Shane Wegner

"It's quite simple my dear David: I run around in this costume, maybe get captured (the guys who broke a TV out of hate will definitely go easy on my face in jail). Inevitably they'll find out I'm not the real AG, but do have her actual costume, so I'll be interrogated and social media researched (maybe my phone forensicslly analyzed) until they call in all my friends for questioning. All this helps the students in the other dorms in some ill-defined way!" "I reiterate, what the fuck"

Tessea

And she had finally gotten into character! This is going to be a mess. Amber will be sad to have missed it. Please don't stand there talking long enough for and wandering cops to show up

Dan Rabin

I like the way Dorothy is drawn more and more in the action-comic Amazi-Girl style as she gets into the role—it works with her monologue to show her state of mind. The phrase "a horniness for justice" does a *lot* of work her, considering Dorothy's long-established crush on the concept of Amazi-Girl. Old by-the-rules Dorothy had long wanted to be the vigilante, and New Dorothy is trying out for various versions of activism. Note that the sitcom plot from a few strips back has now grown a Dorothy-trajectory layer: Willis usually makes his sitcom plots take interesting turns.

Dan Rabin

Dorothy constructed this costume—how much is in the sewing versus the wearing?

Zesstra

What are you going to do? Unsuccessfully chase me down and have sex with someone about it?

Logibear

"Im just saying that ive never seen Dorothy and Sal in the same room!"

Ragtime

The funniest thing would be Jenny: "Walky you dufus, that's clearly Amber in an Amazigirl outfit. "

GundamBradley

It makes sense on a number of levels why Walky would clock her right away. He knows for a fact that the actual Amazi-Girl is currently out of commission, and he also knows plenty how differently built the two are.

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

"you gotta split off some sorta superhero introject RIGHT NOW if ya want even a CHANCE of saving face!"

C.T. Phipps

I feel bad my biggest hope here is Walky says, "You broke up with me in a shitty way and you should feel bad."

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

"a horniness for justice" is a pretty good tagline even for real amazi-girl, tbh. mazie gets/got lots of action!

Harold

@Packy Anderson: I'm now envisioning many of the characters, given their current romantic circumstances, taking turns singing "Love Stinks" in a montage a la the "Wise Up" scene in MAGNOLIA.

NinjaZaku

The absolute worst people she could have run in to right now.

Gale Tazzin

thinking about how Walky said "how come the mask works for you but not for me?" when AG first discovered Nightguy... and then the mask worked for him literally every subsequent time

JMat

This is amazing - just the absolute worst time to meet Walky.

Rubia

Among her peer group, maybe? The worst people in the town, not even close.

Ria

One of the coolest things about Dorothy is how she's entirely 10000000% swagless all the time

Jack Deeth

Carla's TV? I thought she broke that herself after the videocall with her parents

Tessea

This plan could completely backfire in that if the police think Amazi-Girl is out and about during their raids, they could start repeat-searching the same dorms at random times.

Harold

@Jack Deeth: Assuming you're not joking, no, the cops definitely broke that TV while searching Carla's room.

Harold

Next strip: Sal and Danny walk up from the opposite direction.

Johanne

This is the second time in what, less than 2 weeks that I can hardly stop laughing at these situations. DOA is a sitcom now. I am very much enjoying it. Thank you Willis!

George Simpson

I mean... that's not... wrong. Somehow.
