"Hey, you've got some history with some weirdo unrelated vandalism don't y--"

Or just have her sneak into the building and clean up the hair dye. …They’re not going to take that perfectly sensible action, are they?

"THE DING DONG BANDIT WAS NEVER CAUGHT. I DONT KNOW YOU. LALALALALA"

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

i feel like these two are jumping to conclusions re: the Amazi-Girl stuff. like, they don't have enough information to assume Dorothy needs to go out as her again, right? shouldn't they at least wait to see if the cops keep raiding dorms before deciding any of this stuff they're spitballing is needed?

Anxiety + Mania + Adrenaline + unresolved trauma + whatever being in love does to these dopes brains = whatever this response is.

Talking to Dina may be a *bad* idea right now (Joyce certainly seems to think so). Besides Joyce and Dina's fraught one-step-forward-twenty-steps-back dynamic, there's also the fact that Dina is likely to be supremely pissed off that she trusted Joyce and Dorothy with the suit and then *that* happened.

Maude Reads Things

Good lord. These two's Amazi-capades are why we do not call this Smarting of Age. I hope they never stop.

I say again, the real-life university this ostensibly takes place in has recently had reported -on protests against Flock contracts, nearby [1] [2] Y'all...I love you, but the ground does seem to be rsing up to meet you. You may not even need Amazi-Girl as much as Amber for this one... [1] - https://bloomingtonian.com/2026/07/12/protesters-call-for-removal-of-flock-surveillance-cameras-in-bloomington/ [2] - When I am not dead tired, I should look up how the National Week of Action Against Flock went. That was set to wrap up around Aug 22nd.

Hell yeah Dotty! Let's start using some of these special abilities, that's why they're on the character sheet!

or hire a bunch of short muscular brunettes to simultaneously blitz campus with dozens of Amazi-Girls. Surely that will not arouse the suspicions of anyone and will serve a good purpose I will get back to you once I work out what purpose it will actually serve

Can someone explain the ??? part of: 1. Impersonate Amazi-Girl 2. ??? 3. The police STOP harassing the canvas?

Packy Anderson

I mean, all having "Amazi-Girl" appear in public did was stop the police from raiding the dorm they were currently raiding. Since they didn't catch Amazi-Girl, it's a pretty safe bet they're going to keep raiding dorms until they do. All fake Amazi-Girl sightings can do is distract them in the moment. Conversely, the police don't know that Amazi-Girl DOESN'T dye her hair, so if they found the dye, it could lead them to believe the actual AG dyes her hair when she's AG, and they'll start looking for hair dye in the dorms they're tossing. There's no reason they would find that the girl they were chasing dyed her hair and think "she must be a fake".

Their brains were not invited for this evening’s brainstorming

Counterpoint: we'd get to see Joyce get Jazzy Jeff'd out of a doorway with hilarious results!

Frey

I mean, Daisy would sure appreciate it

Recruiting a Network of people just widens the number of people who could be captured and rat you out.

The thought process as I see it is, police are raiding girls dorms looking for a holed up, injured Amazi-girl. Show a healthy Amazi-girl running around away from the areas they are going to check. Instead of going into the dorms and harassing more girls, violating their space and breaking their stuff, police chase after Amazi-girl. Police are now no longer looking for injured girls resting in dorm rooms and then breaking the tvs of the ones they don’t like, they go back to focusing on traditional Amazi-girl haunts. Amber is now less of a suspect for being injured and staying in her room because clearly Amazi-girl is fine. And hopefully the other trans and women of color on campus are spared some trauma.

But they seemed to be looking at least as much for the costume or other evidence, so there's no real reason to stop searching. You know she's still out there, still active.

"I really assumed you were gonna dismiss that out of hand for being too nutso of a suggestion" is a GREAT title, Willis!

@Jennifer Novelli: Or a window. "You'll believe a Joyce can fly!"

Jason R.

If they go that route, I desperately hope that someone has the sense to rig up a sound system to blare the Benny Hill chase theme.
