Minzoku Bokumetsu

keycards are even more obnoxious and frustrating to lose, I tell ya what

Andrea Andrew

Aww… They’re practically married now. Genuine concern and a little comedic horniness from Joyce is nice.

Lazuli

joyce you weird pervert

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

very badly need to see joyce handcuffing dorothy and. et cetera.

C

I see, two birds with one stone, eh Joyce?

Harold

Dumbing of Age, Book 17: You're Going to Have to Start Handcuffing Me to the Bed Yes - THAT'S Why I'd Do That: A Dumbing of Age Pornographique

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

i'm not gonna say you're *wrong* but also handcuffs are like the most basic form of bondage tbh. i think if joyce wants to take some levels in weird pervert she needs to upgrade to duct tape or something

Astariel

Aw, love them. And yes Joyce, you should definitely handcuff Dorothy to the bed. Amber probably has some she could lend you.

Andrea Andrew

It might be weird if some butt stuff and exhibitionism were involved. A good kind of weird.

Packy Anderson

Candles: just use four candles, but only light the leftmost candle. Boom! 16. As a bonus, you don't need to add a fifth candle until the comic turns 32.

5099 5618 v2.0

Good for you, kid. Will that be one collar or two, then?

Packy Anderson

Wait... duct tape is weird pervert? I thought it was just the handyman's secret weapon.

5099 5618 v2.0

@Jamie (QueenOfSodor) For their sake, I hope Dorothy's tendency to over-research before starting things pays off and they start with a more forgiving medium

Darastrix

I hope the backpack's owner doesn't have an airtag in there.

Dan Rabin

1. Happy birthday DoA! 2. With other characters, Joyce's last remark might look merely kinky, like when Penny handcuffed Joe. But Joyce's remark also conveys a huge sense of wanting Dorothy beside her, always always—as distinct from not liking her nightly absences. 3. Will Dorothy design and print out decals to create an Amazi-keycard? 4. It was gray/blue pre-dawn for Dorothy's encounter with Asher; now it's rosy-fingered dawn—time marches on!

Dan Rabin

This won't work for non-binary characters, will it? :-)

Tessea

..... So how much of this have they discussed without considering that Sarah is overhearing it all from her bunk? Oh god, pessimistic worst-case scenario thoughts. The reason Dorothy couldn't find the bag owner was because the Backpack Thief was _trying_ to get caught by Amazi-girl. He's working with the cops to get leniency on something or other, and there's actually a tracker in the bag.

Dan Rabin

Yay! Newfriend! Oops, wrong comic.

GundamBradley

It's possible Sarah's bunking with Tony tonight.

KiasyonSFM

Keycards on the doors. Carla's doing so cops can't raid everyones rooms again?

GundamBradley

DoA is almost old enough to attend its own college, woo hoo! Also, Joyce admittedly looks very cute in her jammies.

Tessea

If they have warrants, the school would have to unlock them.

Jamie (QueenofSodor)

oh god i need to actually finish that dorothy collar art piece i started last year or at least just post the wip somewhere, since my drawing tablet don't work no more

Tessea

Oh sure, but she's not always going to be over there. and Dorothy's been doing this for a few nights now. If I have the timing right, this is Saturday night, while the hair-dye incident was on Wednesday

Tessea

A friend of mine lived on the 23rd floor of an apartment building back in the early 2000s. His sister randomly showed up one day and needed a place to stay for a few days. She also brought along some dork. My friend was not happy, but relented. On the second day the friend dropped the building entry keycard and it slid through the floor gap in the elevator door

Kazo

Well having key cards isn't ominous. /S

Logibear

Chekov's Backpack is now in the room

Maude Reads Things

After there were not one but TWO kidnappings on campus last semester, plus a gun going off and an altercation in the dorms with an unwanted parent (the same unwanted parent who organized one of the aforementioned kidnappings)? You're damn right it's keycards now. I do appreciate seeing Joyce interested in exploring, especially if it keeps her new girlfriend around. And happy birthday, DoA! Now it's old enough to drive.

Kazo

I'm thinking the school, to track who's coming in late in order to find Amazi-Girl.

Kazo

I'd appreciate them better if I didn't think they were tracking them to find Amazi-Girl.

Maude Reads Things

^ I think your friend had a case for justifiable homicide.

Sajuuk-Khar

many people are saying this

Shane Wegner

She’s working up to subdermal hook suspensions.

Shane Wegner

They’d probably get an “AirTag found moving with you” notice. Well, real AG (and Amber) would see it.

Shane Wegner

In two years the comic will graduate from high school. In three it will be the same age as the characters (unless there’s a time skip to their mid 40s or something).

Shane Wegner

I once dropped a keycard in an elevator. The BG3 dice rolled and landed on, let’s say 15. Me and one other onlooker stared in amazement as it bridged the gap in the door. I said “I’m glad it landed like that”, picked it up and went home.

Zesstra

Duct tape would give some people at least a SEMME.

Amós Batista

Ugh, I hate when they change the key, right after my sleepwalking.

thejeff

Or just lampshading an actual change in the dorms since the comic started. Not sure why key cards would stop cops more than standard locks would.

thejeff

"Sleepwalk"? I know we've seen that before, but how's it relevant here? She wasn't sleepwalking as Amazi-Girl and Joyce knows she was out as AG from the questions, so it's not a cover story.

joe mcguire

Dorothy…there’s an exciting new concept I’d like to alert you to called “a lost and found”

Johanne

Could be a backpack planted by cops with an air tag, also

David M Willis

joyce has to go borrow some action figure bubble insert twist ties from Ethan

Harold

Sleep-Supering

Maude Reads Things

Honestly, I won't be surprised if that ends up being at least part of the motive for them - tracking who is coming back at night on nights they know AG is active. Although I question how effective that will be - college students are known for keeping their own hours like that. I still maintain stronger security measures were needed but well. We can never have solely nice things in DoA so yeah, those stronger measures will probably also be used to crack down on AG suspects

David M Willis

At IU, your student ID card is your door key card, so it already sucked to lose!

Minzoku Bokumetsu

I want to say it was the same for us but swipe badges but then how did I get in (or use my meal plan) when I lost mine and it didn't show up again until I graduated and somebody from a building where I'd never gone found it there 🤔
