(yes i realize all of these are due to popular demand, that's what the voting is for)

Jen

At least from what we’ve seen, Yuri stands up for herself against Blaine?

Jen

I’m reaching here guys, oh gods, am I reaching.

Ryan Kertai

Considering the votes mostly came in after her first impression of "seems nice" and before her second appearance of "oh NO", this is still a pretty good Yuri-based bonus strip! As feared, it means more Faz, but at least not as much Blaine. Either way, it's always a special treat to get some context in the form of flashback, and even little Faz is sort of adorable here. Now let us please not vote so hastily next month.

Emily Rocke

For a second I thought Yuri said "She's not your test subject" and I was like "Yeah! You tell him!" but nope.

Packy Anderson

I'm wondering if she's going out with Blaine right now, or if this is before they got involved.

Jen

Well, Yuri being an unwilling test subject for Blaine is… not great either.

Chasey

Nope, definitely going to keep voting hastily! This is great backstory! :D

Ryan Kertai

Faz exists... how could it be before?

TEB

Where are we time wise? Amber looks much younger and yet Faz looks and behaves pretty much like he always does.

George

So Yuri's an ex-employee of Blaine? I feel like that makes their relationship even worse.

Andrew

There sure are a lot of tantalising clues here! Feels like Yuri has a bigger role to play in the story.

Chris Reaves

Well, it's still not determined whether Faz is Blaine's kid in this timeline. (But I still think Blaine and Yuri are shacking up as of this strip, based on Yuri's dismissive "sure, that sounds fine" to what Amber has been told about their relationship.)

Maude Reads Things

I'm fairly sure 'construction company' is code for 'she's a mob friend's daughter'

Maude Reads Things

Oh, Yuri. No. You do not get to take your sarcasm out on Amber because her dad is being a grade A douche.

Doomed

Stands up to him, but grudgingly supports him working for Ryan's parents to dig up dirt for a lawsuit.

Daniel Adams

Okay, now I want Calvin and Hobbes style Young Faz strips.

Doomed

David tries to change as little as possible from the Walky universe.

Doomed

Example: Ruth's Grandpa still loves G.I. Joe.

thejeff

I'm fairly sure 'construction company' is code for 'mistress'.

Sam

That's why she needs the babysitter until "after midnight," right?

Jasmijn Wellner

Young Faz, by the makers of Young Sheldon

Bagge

I'm really happy that young Faz is only obnoxious, not inappropriate. Young Amber is adorable.

Bagge

Um... "And here is the number you can reach me on" "You can take anything you want from the fridge" "I'll give the two of you five minutes to get to know each other before you leave." No? I'm not sure Yuri meats babysitter-club union rules for a parent. And it might be only me, but midnight feels awfully late to leave a young teen babysitting.

Nailbumwees

Is Faz's safe word "Saltines" in this continuity too?

Andrew

I managed to maintain my suspension of disbelief right up until ‘crackers’. Classic Faz :)

Ryan Kertai

The main thing I consider is that SP! strip where Amber realizes Faz's physical similarities to herself while realizing they have the same father. Faz's appearance hasn't changed, so why would we assume his genetics have?

C.T. Phipps

no, I think it's just she's a grade a douche herself.

Matt Eldritch

Jesus, Faz really had no chance to grow up in a loving household, did he?
