Dumbiverse Beef is giving me some strong Duke Nukem vibes, which is weird because Walkyverse Beef looks objectively more like Duke Nukem.

JC

Is this the first appearance of Beef? And is the other one Tony?

Maude Reads Things

Dear god, yes, Beef, you stay away from those two - it didn't end well the last time you got involved in Sal's crowd. And AG's first night here, she chased you off from Danny because you were a bullying dickhead. Don't hang out with bullying dickheads, Tony.

Maude Reads Things

Yes to Beef and Tony, but no this is neither's first appearance.

David M Willis

beef is sadly very impressionable, as we've seen demonstrated

Ill-Tempered Clavier

Beef has more appearances in DoA than Tony. I don't know IW Beef, but DoA Beef is not a good guy. Whenever you see Beef, someone nearby is beating up suspected gays or roofie-ing girls. [Later edit, in light of DMW's remarks below: Beef is never the guy doing bad things. But he doesn't seem to have any negative reaction to other people doing bad things.]

Ill-Tempered Clavier

Tony, OTOH, is usually the foil for someone expecting him to act like a stereotypical jock but he keeps acting like a mensch instead.

Captain Button

So they are the Secret Masters controlling everything from behind the scenes?

Minzoku Bokumetsu

Wow, I didn't realize I wanted to see these two again?! but thanks!! =D

Maude Reads Things

Tony's generally pretty okay. Beef's kinda a tool in Walkyverse too.

Dustin Doss

Weird seeing these two being chummy after just reading today's It's Walky!

BlackDove

I don't know what it is, but Dumbiverse beef somehow looks stranger to me than Walkiverse Beef, despite the latter's warping liefeldian proportions. perhaps W!Beef is acceptably cartoonish while D!Beef leans a bit too much towards uncanny valley...

Bagge

Not-drama is fine.

Corwin Haught

So when was this set, because we haven't seen Amazi-Girl in a while.

thejeff

That looks like the outfit Sal was wearing when we saw her and AG beating up thugs at the start of Flying to the Red, so it's probably that same night. Before the Sal/Amber fight.

Packy Anderson

At least in this universe we're not seeing Tony hitting Beef in the head with a desk. Is that why you picked these two for the bonus strip, Willis?

Packy Anderson

Dammit, Beef. Learn a few words besides *grunt*.

minderrific

DAMMIT, TONY, GET IN THE PLOT I MISS YOU

Maude Reads Things

No, not Flying to the Red. That was a tank top. This is the one she was wearing when Malaya was banging Joe, so probably that night. For bonus points, it was raining that night.

John Lee

You could both die getting involved with Sal.

Ben Russell-Gough

I've just seen this strip for the first time and realised that you could put the 1960s TV Batman theme tune over panel 2 without in any way disrupting the atmosphere or theme!
