I am curious who taught her the idea that hard work= success in politics, which is very specifically and even literally about networking and connections. Dorothy should be making friends as well as studying.

The smart move here is Becky hiring Dorothy. Robin couldn’t oppose.

Only thing that stands in the way are Dorothy's pride and sensibility. I'll give it even odds.

This is actauly a solid point, I think one of the first thing they told me before my first year was that since I'm going to college I'll be surrounded by ambitious people so it's best to work the field. Also in hindsight Dorothy has a good work ethic witch would make her good at getting the job but as far as getting the job in the first goes she's going to haft to learn how to work with people and learn how to get people to work with her.
