I've been in this situation. "I don't want this beer in my house, but I can't just throw it away." (My parents were Depression kids, and some of that got passed on to me and my brothers.)

I understand this fully. I have booze in my liquor cabinet that I took home from an old employer because I was the last one laid off. I'll never drink the stuff, but I also can't stand to throw out alcohol. I need to find a good home for it.
