Kitty!

Peter Schaefer

Yeah, but does the cat have a name? Asking for a friend who needs to vote for the cat in future comics.

William Tessmer

This legitimately happened to me twice now. First time the cat was chipped so I was able to get it back to the owner. Second time I took in this little devil that is currently attacking my shower curtain >_<

Dean Reilly

Jocelyn has passed the first screening process.

Peter Post

Sadly, this means Jocelyn can never have Leslie over for brunch, as she is allergic. But otherwise KITTY! KITTY! KITTY!

Peter Post

I was going to try to persuade people to vote for Eric *fingerguns* next time... But now that there is a cute cat.... 😻

Captain Button

Is the upside down "This Side Up" arrow one of DYW's signatures, or am I thinking of someone else?

Bagge

"She came in to my office like she owned the place and who was I to argue"

Eric Lusby

Yeah, it's a loooong running joke.

Eric Lusby

The day we moved in 1996 a cat walked into our new home and adopted us. She was an outdoor fed stray for a while, but after a couple years we officially took her in.

C.T. Phipps

No kidnapping other people's pets, Jo.

pumacatrun2

Yeah we have a semi-stray who gets food from us and one of the other units but calls our place home for the night. Named him Tubbs cause he's a thicc boi.

Chris Reaves

It does not! Sometimes they stroll into your church instead.

Eric Lusby

Our was named Mama Cat because she had 3 litters in our shed before we got her fixed. Turns out she'd been somebody's cat but was basically abandoned, which is why she was so people-friendly. Eventually she became an indoor-outdoor cat, and of course when we moved she came with us. In fact, her descendants were with us all the way 'til her last great-grandkitten died in 2017.

Elphrid

That is the best possible name for this cat.

Some Ed

Um, it was my impression when that happens, the church has a cat. Or, depending on the church, a new god.

Some Ed

There are different levels of allergic, and there are allergy shots that are very helpful for some. Note: the way these shots work is you get a very long series of them on a schedule that extends out for years. Over the course of the treatment, your allergy becomes less and less severe. At the end of the series, your allergy is virtually gone. That said, you may not get that far before they determine it's not working for you. This does not work for all allergies, but feline allergy is one that I know it tends to work on.

A. J. Stimel

This basically sums up how I ended up with my two kitties. Minus all the details about getting them both spayed, releasing them back into my neighborhood as trap-neuter-returns, & them deciding to reinterpret the "return" part.

Dana

Yup, that's how it works.
