I mean, yeah, fair enough, Ruth. And seriously, as much as I feel for Dana, if she'd gotten busted, she and Sarah would catch a lot of trouble. Particularly Sarah since she's relying on a scholarship and folks tend to be harder on black kids for drugs and yes, she can be kicked out for not reporting her roommate using.

I knew so many people who smoked when I was in college (I myself didn't). I think half my RAs smoked. I knew a few people who got caught. They were made to write short essays saying why they were wrong and promise not to do it again. And that was at a well-known private conservative overtly Christian college in a fairly anti-drug state with a very loud no alcohol on campus policy (I knew people who drank on campus too). I'm sure there are places that are harder on pot, but there have to be a ton that are even more lenient given the circumstances.

A) Willis has said Indiana (or at least, this part of Indiana) is not as chill about it and B) Unlike Dana, Sarah's not a rich, white girl. People tend to be less lenient about drugs when that happens.
