Sal's straightening her hair less.

Walky's growing out his hair because he doesn't have parents present to make him go to the Supercuts.   He doesn't even have a new hoodie because he's 100% into slackin'.

I don't know. My sister is almost the stereotype of the middle-class conservative helicopter mom. Both her two collage-age boys let their hair reach late 60s hippie length this summer. The younger of the two is still wearing it that way and the only reason the older one cut his was for an internship interview. They both get teased/needled at home, but as far as I know, there have been no ultimatums.
