And somewhere, Sarah burst out into song.

Ada

I love you, Dina.

Josh Hiscock

I legit wanna know where Dina is getting this though. I thought soft tissue didn't hold up in fossils. What is the science based on? Size of the ocular cavity?

Amanda

That's every month we get the privilege of reading this comic, tbh.

C

Yay for surprise Dina strip as well.

Dev

@Amanda you're not wrong, but I feel like we won extra this month.

C-Cubed

Dina most of the time: “This is the situation and I accept it.” Dina when someone even casually gets dino info wrong: “YOU WANNA FUCKIN’ GO!”

LupinThe8th

Trying to figure out if Rhetta is a pun. Retina, maybe?

Josh Hiscock

Awesome. Thanks for the response!

James

Why does having great eyesight mean you can see into the future?

Grace Serenity

Also, how does one become an apex predator without good vision? There's a reason house cats haven't taken over the earth! d:

Adam Best

I’m curious what Dina’s thoughts are on the novel, which, if I’m remembering correctly, places a lot more emphasis on how the amphibian DNA affects the cloned dinosaurs a lot more (including the “T Rex vision is based on movement” thing).

C-Cubed

Becky didn’t think she’d have to help calm down two people during eye exams this week.

RacingTurtle

Rhetta assumed her mistake was being old and having out-of-date pop culture references. Rhetta was very, very wrong.

Ben Russell-Gough

The lesson? Don't try to relax your patients with what you THINK is context-specific humour. Sometimes the effect is its absolute opposite!

Simon Magid

Wait, what? They haven’t? Couldn’t tell by mine! o.O

Simon Magid

I am now imagining two tyrannosauri standing together some 65 million years ago and one telling the other, “Aw man, I had so looked forward to opening night of this one but they are getting us totally wrong!”

CJ

Humans have rather bad eyesight and the brain does most of the “seeing”. On the periphery, humans are actually equipped to respond to movement even if the shapes they see there are quite patchy due to very low res images. It works for threat warning purposes though, and then you’ll look directly and your brain will never tell you the original was quite blurry.

Bagge

I liked Rhetta. Shame she died :-(

Ben Russell-Gough

I dunno... The Rex is kind of the heroine of the first three movies when you think about it!

C.T. Phipps

She liked it until she found out Michael Crichton was a climate change denier.
